Yeah, of course I’m back and this time I’m getting a little more serious with this whole blog thing. I mean it seems that people actually respect the words of an unarmed super powered vigilante who runs round town in full cliché uniform minus a cape. Either people are getting more stupid or I have some sort of magnificent sex appeal which encourages others to come along to my blog and share all the wisdom which I randomly crap out of my mouth. The truth is, I love doing this because it actually gives me a chance to sit down and talk to those who actually listen to me and try and knock some sense into whatever peanut sized brain they have. I’m serious when I say if some people were more stupid they would need to wear a football helmet.
So as promised (or actually enforced, you decide what it is) I’m back and this time I have upped the ante to make this blog not only a little more humorous but also more capable at poking fun of those people who are incapable of cracking a smile. So as you might or might not know, I actually have a day job, a job where if I’m seen using my abilities I’m looked on like some sort of freak. Do I find it fair that people see me this way? That I am a monster because I’m different from people? I honestly don’t get it at all. When is the right time to use these abilities? If you can’t make a reputation for yourself as a good guy then any act that is described as superhuman instantly has people tutting at you as if you’ve done something wrong and I honestly can’t believe why. Good or bad, you will always be judged.
And here’s where things get more interesting for me at least. I am a man who has harnessed his powers for more than a decade at least, but what about those who are new onto the scene of special abilities; is it right that we judge them for things that they cannot control. I honestly don’t find it fair that we look down on anyone in such a way, even if I do see the reasoning behind it.
I’ve come here this time to answer a huge question about all of this, whether it is fair to judge others for things they cannot control, whether just because a person can be described as evil that their ability can be classed as a curse or a gift. The truth is that we as a society are good at drawing lines in the sand saying that there is no grey area but there is only black and white, but the world is anything but that. There is a whole spectrum that these people are missing, that they are too naïve and foolish to even begin to understand.
And so I have come here to educate them with the help of a little friend of mine
In a last minute attempt to find someone who would actually know what the hell I was talking about, I gave a quick call to a friend perse in hopes that he would help me find the answers that I needed. Unfortunately, they couldn’t make it and so I was stuck with one of my fall back options and out of those guys I picked someone whose theological presence towards this made me look like a dumbass (The last time that’s ever happening). And so Now I present the following conversation between myself and the said person
GHOSTYDUDE: So my little nerdalinger, let’s get down to the question shall we; are abilities a gift or a curse?
CREAMEDPANTS: Well...i guess it all depends what your ability is and if you can live an 'ordinary' life with them.
GHOSTYDUDE: Well okay let’s put this in more simpler terms then shall we... say you gave a highly unstable person some sort of nuclear detonation power. How would things go down then?
CREAMEDPANTS: That's like giving a serial killer a sharp object and saying don't poke it at people... At the end of the day, i guess it's about the person. If someone has ill intentions, whatever 'gift' they have they're going to use it for poor reasons and then i guess you could say it becomes a curse. Again, there are people out there who can't live normally because of their ability and then once more it is classed as a curse but...if you have the ability and the heart to help others, say for instance the ability to heal those around you, combined with a good heart...it's a gift
GHOSTYDUDE: Yes, but really, what if we take the person out of the equation. What we need to come to the conclusion of is if these abilities are a curse or not. If we take opinions and personalities into it then we could be here all day defining the line which separates them both. All I want is an honest answer... do you view these as godsends or a fatal flaw?
CREAMEDPANTS: Godsends
GHOSTYDUDE: Care to elaborate on that or are we just gonna leave it at that?
CREAMEDPANTS: Well imo it should be classed as a godsend, being given abilities that could potentially help our fellow man. People say that god does things to help us, but we never see him...ever, but then there are people amongst us who have the power to make a difference. I think it explains itself. Sure, some people do evil...but the world already had evil within it minus these abilities, imo these abilities make a difference and i think they shouldn't be frowned upon the way they are. After all, these abilities aren't given to people from day one; i can only imagine there’s a struggle that comes with it...i just think we need to cut these people some slack
GHOSTYDUDE: Yes, but who says these things aren’t out just to test us, to prove if we can handle ourselves? Sort of like seeing how we react under the pressure. I mean if there is a god he’s done worse to people
CREAMEDPANTS: Maybe so, but at the end of the day is it right for us to reject these people and their abilities because we’re not sure or were unfamiliar?
GHOSTYDUDE: Humanity has a habit of rejecting that which is unknown, just look back to the countless examples that exist in the past. People are bound to judge, it is in their nature but the question becomes, do they have the right?
CREAMEDPANTS: They have a right to question it of course, but most of them don't. Surely these people have a right to prove themselves, to show the world that they are not all bad and not all the same. You don't see us labelling all people of certain ethnicity because of past events, what's the difference here?
GHOSTYDUDE: The difference is that people seem to be scared to face that which is glaring at them. They always have been and in my opinion always will be
CREAMEDPANTS: People will always have something to fear, be it something they can't see or something that is staring them right in the eyes. But that doesn't mean these people shouldn't be given a chance
GHOSTYDUDE: And so we come to a conclusion that regardless of what these abilities are, the non-special population will view us as different and treat us as such. Is that the point here?
CREAMEDPANTS: Yes
GHOSTYDUDE: Well then I guess were finished here. Nice to see you not being such a nervous nerdilinger
CREAMEDPANTS: I have no reason to be nervous
GHOSTYDUDE: If you say so
And so there we have it in words folks, no matter what you say the human public is always going to judge and always going to find a new thing to fear and hate. The truth is that it doesn’t matter if these gifts are a curse or not because as long as there are groups like the RSF out there, specials have to watch their back and learn to deal with their lot in life fast.
Is it fair? Hell no, but it’s the only chance some people have now
Okay so a new segment to this blog that I would like to consider is that each time I make one of these things, I will be giving someone who has been out in the public eye a lot an award which I feel is just and adequate to how I feel about them. Call it me trying to poke a little bit of fun at today’s news and trying to be a smartass because let’s face it, if the RSF haven’t found out who I am by now then they might as well just give up on trying to find who I am because it’s not like other groups had a hard time.
So todays award is going to go to Mr Victor Vaughn. Why him you ask? Why the person who has been leading the cavalry down the line and putting all of our asses on the line? The reason is because I think he deserves the award which I am about to gift him with.
I present Vaughn with “The Sad Keanu” Award. Seriously, does that guy ever crack a smile in any of his press photos. I’m going to take a page out of jokers book and ask Y SO SRS. Did your mother not love you enough. And well folks if you think im over reacting perhaps you should look here, here and here
Cheer up Mr Sad Man
Well the final note here is that I love you guys for checking this blog out and next time I have something special planned, just you wait.
Don’t forget to leave your comments or questions below… I will be ready.
