— Ryan Alcroft — Important Episodes
Part 1: "The Hunt Is On" (Remastered Version) - Nineteen-year-old Ryan Alcroft has been living in New York for a few months, spending a senior year as an exchange student in a Texas high school before his family moved out to the States after his graduation. For the last month-and-a-half, he has found himself beset by debilitating migraines which, on occasion, have caused lapses in consciousness and strange dreams which he can't help but liken to out-of-body experiences. Little does he know that there are people out there who know more about what's happening to him than he does...
Part 3: "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" - Ryan's first meeting with Doctor Adele Couteau results in a profound thirty-six hours, during which he learns of the Company's existence, the extent of their standing mission... as well as just how far he is willing to go in order to prevent them from succeeding.
Part 8: "A New Rogue" - Led further and further along Adele's dark path under the pretenses of heeding the sage counsel of a mentor, Ryan sees no issues with going to meet Kiros Monroe, a hardened criminal and the leader of the Rogue Society. The fact that the man is an imposing and rather infamous member of the New York underworld simply passes him by.
Part 13: "Not The Average Shopping Trip" - Further proving Adele's theory about how one's ability can be affected in a primal manner, Ryan's ability develops a scary new characteristic when faced with a department store robbery.
Part 18: "Across The Pond" - To escape from their troubles in New York for a couple of weeks, Ryan and Adele decide to embark on a holiday, taking in both Ryan's hometown and the south of France in a fortnight that even manages to make them appear normal. Mostly.
Part 22: "Third Time Lucky" - Having moved - along with the rest of the Rogue Society - to the south of Texas, Ryan naively believed that his problems with the Company would have been left behind. Instead, he finally discovers the truth in Adele's warnings about the organisation... as well as having a run-in with its leader: the young Pacy McNeil.
Part 31: "The Bellagio Hotel" - A new player emerges on the "special scene" - the enigmatic Ark Industries - and immediately sets about trying to make a good impression on the world at large. It's here that Ryan encounters a one-time strange fascination in his girlfriend's life: Thomas Kroner.
Part 32: "Heaven Have Mercy" - The Company once again makes a move against Ryan and Adele, subjecting them both to a month-long ordeal; the psychological effects of which endure years later and, as a result, brings them much closer together.
Parts 33, 36 & 37: "Sign Your Soul Away", "So I Herd U Liek Sambuca" and "Out With The Old..." - As part of the bargain allowing their escape from the Company to go unanswered, Adele offers up both herself and Ryan to serve the organisation as agents; intent on using the opportunity to dismantle it from within. Despite their history, the new Director - Grace Harper - grants the doctor her request.
Part 43: "Creative And Memorable" - With everything that had befallen them in recent months, Ryan couldn't stand idly by and risk letting Adele slip away from him. With the help of some gifts from the Maignys, he enacts a plan to bring the couple closer together.
Parts 54 and 55: "Angels Of The Silences" & "Deliverance" - Ryan and Adele's brief tenure with the Company comes to a head, resulting in a colossal rift opening between them that affects all concerned.
Part 57: "The Last Reunion" - Ryan impulsively makes good on a threat he made during his final meeting with the Company.
Parts 58 & 59: "The Architect's Dilemma" & "Ghosts In The Machine" - Capitalising on their recent departure from the Company, Gabriel Constant - representing a new shadowy organisation dubbed GEIST - approaches Ryan and Adele with an offer and, later, a use for their services that grants them influence over world politics Ryan would never have seen coming.
Parts 63 & 64: "This Gonna B Good!" and "Not So Much 'Peer Pressure'" - Ryan finds himself the victim of a misunderstanding that leads him to learn something unexpected about himself.
Part 68: "Employment Issues" - Having wanted to find himself a legal job for years - ever since joining up with the Rogue Society - Ryan makes a few alterations to his usual resumé before submitting his interest in a job that sounds more than a little too good to be true.
Part 80: "...And Hell Follows Her" - After the cholera outbreak and the revelation of a country-wide famine, the "Horsemen Plot" adopts facets of both War and Death, introducing Lilith to the wider world. Led into the battle in Washington DC (technically) on the side of Dakari's Dominion thanks to his ties to both her and Adele, Ryan manages to see a number of harrowing sights first-hand.
Part 84: "Creating The 'Memorable'" - After seven years of engagement and countless attempts to plan the day from start to finish, Ryan and Adele finally decide to put their desires in motion and get married.
The venue: Villa Patricia in Saint-Tropez. Where else?
