////I think you need a Doctor.
I couldn’t find a fitting gif for him, okay? D:
Daughters of the Seer
So, in order to keep everyone aligned and “in the know” regarding the upcoming plot, I figured I’d write up a little something to help guide you along the way. Just some things to mull over as the plot progresses. There’s only one catch: Read this. Just about all of your questions will be answered here; if not, there’s always room for questions via replying to this post. But if you ask me any questions in the cbox or elsewhere that is already addressed here, the only response you’re going to get is a link to this thread. Revealing this much plot before we’ve even started is not something I like to do, but I am doing so in an effort to help everyone get adjusted. So please, don’t abuse my kindness.
This is for everyone - to help you determine where you want your characters to be involved, if at all. It could also inspire you to structure your own stories around or within. Already I’ve had input from four players with ideas that enhanced the plot even more. So spin me some more ideas - if you get anything, PM me at this account (moynahan). You can try Chatango IMs too, but I don’t always get those, apparently.
So the best way to cover the different angles of the plot, I think, is to take a look at a few characters of interest. These are by far not the only major characters in the plot; and not all are heroes and not all are villains; but these would be the ones to keep a weather eye on, as their movements just might move the story.

Dr. Lucius Kilvayne, public enemy number… actually, he’s the President now. You see, while everyone else was battling Death (Lilith), a quiet coup was under way not so far off. With the Sawyer administration ousted and exiled - and kept under close watch - Lucius and his allies installed a new government made up mostly of puppets and mouthpieces. So far, he has enjoyed a fair deal of popularity, in part because not everything he does makes it to the nightly news.
Don’t let that Oval Office fool you - Lucius is still very much aware of and involved in the occurrences surrounding the Kilvayne Corporation, the technology conglomerate that now contains, among others, Ark Industries. But with that company in one hand, the world’s most powerful government in the other, and a group of loyal, dangerous allies behind him, it could very well be said that the only will really is his own.

Fiona Kingsley is one dedicated woman. To her work; as head of Ark’s Security Subdivision, she keeps even the slightest holes in security sealed and watched and is more than ready to drop a hammer on anyone whose performance is less than perfect. To her family; one need only look at her relationship with her husband, David, to be sure of that. In fact, she’s probably the most stable and level-headed person in the quirky madness that is Ark. It’s actually fairly surprising that Fallon hasn’t tackled her for more good PR use yet.
Ira Reier could be considered one of the most powerful men in the world. That world has largely come to depend on Reier Technologies, his own tech conglomerate out of London. He’s also got the ears of some fairly important people. Now, though, he’s eyeing a new challenge. He aims to take down the Kilvaynes and Ark on their own territory, mostly just because he can. So far, the American people seem to find him charming and highly intelligent, a wonderful man. Still, a question remains: Is he a good man?

Drew Moynahan grew up an ordinary child in an ordinary family in an ordinary town in Washington. He had an exceptional mind, but not the means to do anything with it, so he wound up spending his postsecondary days working at a middling job five blocks from where he was raised. Imagine, then, how shocked and excited he was to learn that Christian Moynahan, the newly-appointed CEO of Ark Industries, was his cousin. And imagine how pleased Christian was to find a family member who was actually trying to live outside “the bubble” and was at least as brilliant as he was. He was more than happy to give Drew a position at Ark and move him into his Los Angeles Home. In no time they were thicker than brothers.
So the song goes.
Even the greatest minds have lapses and biases, just like anyone else; and while at some point Christian will recall that his parents are both only children and from there make the connection, Drew is perfectly content to make full use of the resources he can access as a scientist and government liaison at Ark for his own purposes - whoever or whatever he is.

Daughters of the Seer
The vast majority of you don’t know who these two characters are, and I’ve spilled enough plot for now, so don’t even bother asking. xD Just know that once they show up, shit is about spiral out.
Finally, a few other things to address in this post.
Frequent Concerns
1. Isn’t Ark evil?
For an exact answer to that, we’d have to examine what is the meaning of evil, and that’s really not a conversation you want to have with me until you have hours to spare. xD Rather:
Ark Industries suffered a hostile takeover at the hands of Lucius Kilvayne and Gabriel Constant a few years ago; while it maintains its own operations and projects, Ark is now technically part of the larger Kilvayne Corporation “umbrella.” Lucius and Gabriel found Christian Moynahan and appointed him the new CEO, having fired nearly all of the former staff and dissolved the Board. Since then, Ark’s public projects have all been for the civil good, and they have actually contributed greatly to the community. That’s not to say they don’t have anything special going on underground… so, you decide.
2. Isn’t Lilith dead?
This question’s the opposite of the last, because it does have an easy answer. xD Easy answer: Nope. But then it gets complicated. She was up against Trevor Taylor, who ranks up there with our most powerful characters but is also easily the most determined; and everyone saw her die. But, of course, there’s a bit of a footnote at the end of that particular post that shows she is alive and… relatively well. And, if you were paying very close attention during the Horsemen arc, and you pay very close attention to how she “died,” you can figure out exactly how she didn’t. It’s not a hugely important point yet, but it is something I’ve been asked about.
Although, she did end up meeting Adele, so….
3. What is the Dominion of Jamaica?
This came up mostly last volume, but I got asked it so many times even though I had several threads dedicated to it that I figure I’ll just nip it in the bud now.
Around the time Ark got jacked, the Johessman family, Jamaican-born, began to acquire through a variety of diplomatic and not-so-much means the governments of their neighboring countries. By the beginning of Volume IX, they had taken control of all the formerly sovereign countries (other countries’ territories, such as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, were left alone, because the Johessmans weren’t looking to start wars) and restructured them into one nation. So named because the government seat is Kingston, Jamaica; and, besides, that’s where it’s got its roots. The Dominion likely will not play a large role this volume, although it’s good to note that through the any-day-now marriage of Lucius Kilvayne and Dakari Johessman the States will have a quite unique bond with the Dominion.
4. I’m a returning player, and-
Got your back. Repost your old app (or ask Staff to pull it out of archives for you) and nine times out of ten we’ll reactivate your old charrie no problem. Some characters are so old that they don’t qualify for acceptance under our updated rules, so some may have to be re-reviewed.
You can change anything you want about your old character so long as it fits within the rules.
If you’re a returning member but are creating a new charrie, that charrie is subject to the new rules - ability manifestation, power caps, and so on.
Any further questions not answered here, feel free to reply or reach out to me. I write to serve. Or something like that.
