*DECEASED*
Full Name: Shannon Lewis
Age: 39
Gender: Female
Powers:
Telemetry - also known as Electronic/Digital Communication is the psychic perception, detection and the manipulation of the digital/electronic/radio waves within electronic devices. The user acts as a living internet hub, allowing them to sift through the internet and electronic/digital/radio waves with their mind. Furthermore, they can manipulate existing waves and receive and create their own, giving them the ability to communicate with any computer or radio on the fly, regardless of whether it has a working connection.
Power Limits:
The limits on her ability depend on numerous variables. If trying to access a specific wave/computer, it depends where the computer is, if it has protection (ie. firewalls, virus protection, etc.), and if there is any interference (ie. cliffs, other electronic devices, frequency disturbance). Distance isn't really a concern to Shannon, because Shannon is able to access a computer nearby and then use that computer to make sort of a network so she has access to a computer on the other side of the world.
Personality:
Shannon's primary mode of living is focused externally, where she lives in the now rather in the future. A sensual person, Shannon is enthusiastic, excitable, outgoing, straight-shooting, "doer" who lives in the world of action. She can also be blunt, straight-forward, a risk-taker, and she isn't afraid to plunge in and get her hands dirty.
Looking at the facts of a situation, Shannon quickly decides what should be done, execute the action, and move on to the next thing.
Rules and laws are seen as guidelines for behavior, rather than mandates to Shannon. If she decided that something needs to be done, then her "do it and get on with it" attitude takes precedence over the rules. However, Shannon has her strong beliefs in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to her principles.
Shannon typically makes things up as they go along, rather than following a plan. Sometimes she can be hurtful to others without being aware of it, as she generally does not know and may not care about the effect their words have on others. It's not that she doesn't care about people, it's that her decision-making process does not involve taking people's feelings into account. Her decisions are based on facts and logic.
Her least developed area is her intuitive side. She is impatient with theory, and sees little use for it in her desire to "get things done". When Shannon occasionally has strong intuitions they are often way off-base, but sometimes very lucid and positive. Although, Shannon has learned not to trust her instinct and other people's intuition.
Shannon needs to keep moving, and does well when she is not restricted or confined. Becoming easy stifled and unhappy dealing with routine chores. Having a natural abundance of energy, Shannon gets very excited about things and has the ability to pass that excitement onto others. All-in-all, she has extraordinary talents for getting things started. Although she has trouble at following through, and might leave those tasks to others.
Shannon is a practical, observant, fun-loving, spontaneous risk-taker with an excellent ability to quickly improvise an innovative solution to a problem. She's enthusiastic and fun to be with, and is a great motivator.

Appearance:
For being thirty-nine years old and having four kids, Shannon looks very good. It's sad to say but if wasn't for Shannon's appearance, she probably won't have gained as much publicity as she did while running for the Senate seat. Being a woman is a plus but being an attractive woman is even a bigger plus to the media, so Shannon does what she can to keep her good looks.
While at work, Shannon wears very professional attire. Some of her critics, seem to think that she is only a mother from a rural area and has no professional experience in being a politician. Although Shannon tries to keep a professional apperance to the public, she would rather be wearing something casual. Like a t-shirt and jeans or a long sleeve shirt and khaki pants.
Celebrity Claim: Locklear, Heather
Character lives in: Odessa, Texas
History:
Being born in Austin, Texas, Shannon was born to a couple of high school sweethearts. Shannon's was exactly planned and was looked at sort of as a burden to her parents. With her mother working at a local fast food restaurant and her father was a construction worker, became tough for the family. Money was a scarce thing and caused much stress for Shannon's parents. This stress caused her father to start drinking.
One day her father came home drunk and started to slap his wife around. It escalated and in a series of actions, Shannon's father killed her mother. Her father was sentenced to jail and there was no family left to go to. Shannon was only seven and was going to grow up the rest of her life as an orphan. Instead of going to a local orphanage, Shannon was sent to one in United Kingdom. She had no clue why she was being sent to another country but had no say in the matter. Once reaching the orphanage, Shannon was introduced to Julie Pasdar, one of the orphanage workers.
Growing up as an orphan, wasn't as bad as some people may think. Shannon felt like she had a new family with Julie and the other kids. Her childhood was normal to her. She went to school, made friends and bullies, and did what a normal kid did. Although, there was one person she hated while growing up. Mostly every kid did, but they couldn't do anything about it. His name was Justin Marvalo. He was such a bully to Shannon and the other kids at the orphanage. So Shannon stayed away from him and his best friend George.
After graduating from high school, Shannon decided she wanted to return to the states and study college at her home state of Texas. While at college, Shannon met her future husband. They married when Shannon was in her third year of law school.
Before graduating college, something strange started to happen to Shannon. She would start to here strange voices in her head. Then weird information would suddenly be on her mind. At first she just shrugged it off. But it came to a point where she was hospitalized. Julie came and visited her and explained what was happening to her was normal. Julie explained that Shannon had an ability and that there was others like them. Since then Shannon used her ability and has become dependent on it.
After she got her degree, Shannon was pregnant with a baby boy. Instead of having a career, Shannon thought it was best to stay home with her child. So abandoning her goal of becoming a lawyer, Shannon had three more children. Two more boys and a baby girl.
While raising her kids, Shannon become very involved in their school activities by joining the PTA. Before she knew it, her kids were getting older and Shannon found herself a mayor of the town Odessa. And soon after becoming mayor and having a successful administration, Shannon ran for Senator. She won by a landslide because of her down to Earth personality and her record as mayor.
Now Shannon spends much of her time away from her family in Washington D.C. Although Shannon got where she was because of her down to Earth persona, she is now being criticized for being a sell out. She has recently became a partner with a big law firm based in New York City even without any professional lawyer experience.

Sample role-play:
The night was young and people just started to arrive. Shannon Lewis was one of them. It was a fundraiser for a charity group and many senators and congressmen were invited. Shannon usually doesn't go to these things because she thinks it's just a waste of time. A bunch of rich people throwing a party to feel like they changed the world for the better. The only reason she came was to meet someone in particular.
Shannon just drifted around talking to various people while keeping out for the person. After a couple hours of waiting, she found the person she was looking for. In her white dress with her hair specially done, Shannon walked up to the young man. She introduced herself, "Hello, Mr. Petrelli. I'm Shannon Lewis. A senator from Texas."
"Very nice to meet you Mrs. Lewis," Nathan said as he shook her hand. "Being new here, it's hard to remember everyone's' name. Although I don't think I won't ever meet half of these people again," Nathan joked.
Shannon laughed. "Well to be honest, I really don't like these things. I believe people just throw these things to feel better about themselves thinking that they actually make a difference."
"I know what you mean. I was one of those people until... certain events happened. Then I realized instead of waiting around that I had to get my hands dirty and do things myself."
