He appreciates art and music, often standing mesmerized for hours in front of a single painting, staring at the individual brushstrokes, or listening to the same piece of music over and over again to hear every little nuance of sound. While in reality physically healthy, the madness infecting his brain beams out of black eyes narrowed in distaste. The fingers of his hands are bony, almost skeletal, and his thin lips are usually twisted in a smirk. His nose is long and regal, hawk-like, and he likes to look down it at people, as he is quite tall.
Celebrity Claim: Austrelien Peter
Character lives in: New York City
History:
Born and raised in New York City, Saul is the product of his environment. His father was shady cop, and his mother addicted to gambling and worse vices. He hated his parents from before he could remember, and hate and disgust became his primary emotions over the years. His mother, a sickly woman, kept him close to her at all times, demanding that Saul come straight home after school and spend every possible moment by her side. If he strayed, his mother would cry and his father would beat him. His abilities began to manifest later in life, when he was nineteen.
He had tried to leave the dark apartment of his childhood to attend college, but had been threatened into submission. Resigned to a life of servitude, he discovered one day while at the supermarket with his mother that, with a touch, he could send people into various degrees of distress. Saul grew bolder with his power, finally trying it on his mother. He overdid it, and she went into a coma. Upon returning home from work, his father discovered mother and son; after taking his wife to the hospital, he forced Saul into his windowless bedroom and blockaded the door. For five years, Saul was locked in the room, chained so that he was unable to reach the door.
Meanwhile, Saul's mother had been pregnant when she went into her coma, unbeknownst to him. The child born knew of his older brother, but was too young ever to understand what had really happened. One day, while their father was at work, Saul began to scream as though in agony. Distressed by the howls, the young boy set to work unblocking Saul's prison, but by the time he broke through the door, the cries had stopped. He found Saul sprawled across the floor, not breathing. Wide-eyed in terror, the child fled the apartment.
His prison now open, Saul rose, using his power on himself as he'd been practicing. Charged up with inhuman strength, he broke his chains and left the apartment for the first time in years.

Jesus, that line was ridiculous, Lori thought, displeased at how long it had taken the bouncer outside to notice how pretty she was and let her in. Like these jerks are any better than me. She surveyed the dance floor with a cool, appraising eye, determining to herself that she was, in fact, the most precious commodity in the room.
Her ego thus soothed, she headed to the bar, then stopped short. at the sight of a bouncer with his arm around the patron's neck. Seeing the smaller man vulnerable for a moment, she took a quick breath and sent out her ability to get the lay of the situation. The patron's mind was, for some reason, a blank to her. Lori ignored this; it wouldn't be the first time her empathy had failed her, and besides, she hated to dwell on failures. Instead, she felt out the bouncer's disposition, which was all too clear: indignation, a desire to cause pain, and impatient waiting... Well, Lori could tell from a glance who would emerge the victor here, unless of course, she lent a helping hand.
"Kyle!" she cheered, hurrying up to the patron. She smirked inwardly at her good judgement; before she had only seen the guy from behind, but now she could see that his was a face well worth the trouble. "Kyy-le, don't be grumpy. I'm here now, honey, so quit your feeling sorry." She lifted her eyes to the bouncer, widening them as much as she could. Play along, she wanted to hiss to the patron, Play along, so i can have you.
