Rhett's mother is Tara Copper, one of the specials housed in The Company's Level 5. Her father is unknown. Rhett was born while Tara was a captive, and taken from her mother at birth. She was raised by a company man named John Mitchell, who cared for her as much as he could allow himself. Copper lived with the knowledge that one day he may be forced to turn her into his employers, should she ever manifest or show signs of an ability.
When her eighteenth birthday passed without event, Mitchell began to breathe a sigh of relief. Proud of the young girl he considered his daughter, he bought Rhett a car as a graduation present. Driving it for the first time with John in the passenger's seat, Rhett got into an accident- another teenager ran a red light and hit her car, injuring Mitchell. Unhurt, Rhett went to her father's side, where she began to absorb his pain. The pair of them in shock, they waited for the ambulance to come.
The next day, John called The Company. Since then, Rhett has been living in a Company-owned facility, training with them. She opposes their "bag and tag" policy, but finds that since her protests go unheeded, it is best to go along on the missions and ease the suffering of the targets.

Rhett knows about her mother; she found out shortly after entering The Company. Tara Copper is a powerful pyrokinetic.
Sample role-play:
The man was beautiful in the way that only certain black men can be beautiful- feral, lethal, and feline. His skin was a smooth chocolate and his head was smooth and bare. He sat next to Rowan in the dark bar and ordered a drink without looking to his left. When he spoke, Rowan had already turned his head to listen.
“You knew me when I walked in here,” he said, smiling with the corner of his mouth. Rowan only nodded and took a polite sip of his Red Bull and vodka. “I don’t want to play this game; I’m sure you’ve seen it all before.”
The quip left Rowan unamused. “I’ve seen this, yes." He looked sullenly at his glass.
“Sort of... the words are off.” He made a frustrated noise, his eyes troubled as he turned them to the man’s face. “You weren’t wearing that shirt. There’s supposed to be someone sitting on the other side of you, you were supposed to order straight whiskey instead of… whatever the hell it is you’ve got. And the bartender is supposed to be a man!” Rowan’s voice rose steadily. The bartender and her long, dyed-blonde hair gave him a dirty look.
“Yes, well.” The man looked slightlymbarrassed. “Sometimes, you can thwart these things.”
