*DECEASED*
Full Name: Jillian Garland
Age:30
Gender: Female
Powers: Omniscience: Jillian has the ability to know everything about anything known the whole of the human race just by focusing on it.
Power Limits: The main weakness of this ability is that, in order for Jillian to gain the information, it has to be somewhere accessible to humans. If the whole of the human race doesn’t know it, then she won’t know it either. Another problem is that she had to be actively focusing on what she wants to know to know it. If she isn’t actively focusing, then she could either know anything or she gets a bunch of static. The latter of those two is the most likely. Jillian’s other weakness is that once she stops focusing; her retention of that information isn’t the best. So, in all likeliness, she forgets it after she learns it unless she retrieves that information over and over and over and over again. Jillian isn’t the type to do that though. Another thing is that it’s hard for her to know two things: a person’s mental and emotional state and the future. Why? The mental and emotional state of a person changes from moment to moment. This means that if she focuses she either gets what she wanted the moment she began focusing, or her mind flips through what their feeling so fast, she doesn’t pick up anything. As for the future, only a few humans know anything for certain about the future and even those prophecies can get proven wrong. The future is like emotions, changing from moment to moment. She’d flip through the information too rapidly to pick anything up, get one current prediction, or just get a bunch of static. Jillian doesn’t like mental static.
Personality: Upon meeting Jillian, a person will automatically identify two of her chief personality traits: she is an overly optimistic extrovert and she’s incredibly unreliable. To Jillian, the grass is always greener on the other side and even mushroom clouds have silver linings. There’s always something to be happy and cheerful about, even when things aren’t going her way because Jillian knows she can make things go her way with just the right kind of information as leverage.
However, Jillian isn’t all sunshine and giggles. She has learned through experience that trusting others to be anything other than who they are is an easy way to get betrayed quickly. For this reason, she doesn’t trust others with anything and she doesn’t allow anyone to trust or depend on her because she can’t depend on them. She plays this up so that other people are well-aware of her untrustworthiness ahead of time because it’s just nice to give people a bit of warning.

Strengths: Jillian’s strengths are: optimism, confidence, even-temperedness, flexibility, persistence, and creativity. Her biggest strength is her positive attitude. So long as she looks on the bright side, she can come up with ways to make things better. Her other strength is that she’s confident. She believes in herself and her abilities and other people can and do sense that about her. Jillian is an easygoing person. She has a tendency to just let things slide when they go wrong because they’ll start looking up later. She isn’t a high-stress person. She accepts things as they happen. She’s also very open-minded and accepting of pretty much anything and everything she learns. She knows that even with her omniscience, she doesn’t know everything and she accepts it. Jillian is a persistent person in that she doesn’t know how to give up on something. That means that, in all likeliness, she won’t give up. Jillian is also fairly creative due to the fact that she doesn’t limit herself with anything other than trusting others.
Weaknesses: Jillian’s weaknesses are: stubbornness, her blasé nature, her unwillingness to trust others, her selfishness, her complete disregard of most of her limitations, and her unreliability. Jillian’s biggest weakness is her unwillingness to trust others. While she is confident in herself, she only trusts others as far as what she knows about them. She doesn’t think that anyone could ever get better than what they are and that is her downfall because she tends to rely on only herself. Here persistence is a double-edged sword because not only does she refuse to give up, but sometimes she doesn’t know when to give up and that’s her downfall. Jillian also doesn’t really care about anything, that’s why she finds it so easy to let things slide and adapt to a new situation. Due to this, she doesn’t usually hold onto what she has causing her to completely lose everything rather than just losing the least important bits when things go down hill. Jillian is also incredibly selfish. She doesn’t think about anything but herself and her own well-being because no one else will think about herself or her own well-being. Jillian knows her limitations, but she often ignores them for a variety of reasons because she can. There are so much more important things to remember rather than what she can’t do. Jillian is also extremely irresponsible. People often realize this within moments and then they don’t trust her anymore that she trusts them.

Character lives in: Odessa, Texas... for now
History: Jillian was born in Belleville, Illinois to a loving and doting mother and father. She was the younger of two girls being the younger sister of Alice Garland. Due to this, Jillian never had very many responsibilities and she never had many playmates her own age. Sure, she was popular enough, but Jillian could only get so far with a stick-in-the-mud for a sister who seemed more intent on being another mom than the child she was. Jillian learned to adapt quickly, though, and often played pranks and other things on her older sister to get her to “relax” and “lighten up”. It was all in good fun, right?
Well, this all changed when Jillian hit puberty. She didn’t even notice it was happening at first. How did she know all the answers to that English test when she didn’t do the reading or study at all? Well, she must just be that good, right? It wasn’t until Jillian actually got accused of cheating by one teacher that she actually realized that she’d been acing all of her tests when she hadn’t done any preparation. When she got an amazingly highest score possible on the SAT and ACT, Jillian knew something was up and so did everyone else. She was accused of cheating on both tests and asked to retake them both. She got the exact same score again.
Jillian, not knowing what was going on with herself, went to the one person she thought she could always count on for help, her older sister. However, Alice didn’t believe Jillian talk of having a power to know things. She thought it was just another game, just another lie to hide the fact that Jillian was either cheating on all these tests or a budding genius. Jillian tried multiple times to prove it to her sister, but to no avail. She made one last attempt to show her sister on her eighteenth birthday, then on June 11, 1996 Jillian converted all of her savings into cash, took a bag of only her most essential things and ran away. She didn’t even leave a note.
Jillian first went to L.A. She was young. She was beautiful. She could make it as an actress in the city of angels, certainly. Things didn’t quite work out there. Jillian fell in with the wrong agent who just wanted to take her money and had no intention of following up on making her a star. This is when Jillian learned how to use her power to survive in this world. She stole his credit cards, bank cards, and social security number and did a number on his bank account and credit and then kindly returned it all to him just before he found out. This was the first of Jillian’s victims in her quest to care for herself.
Next, Jillian hopped on the back of a motorcycle (an the cute young man who drove it) and went across the country to New York, New York. There she blackmailed a considerable amount of money from a few political figures and made quite a bit of money to burn. Her time in New York could be said to be the best time of her life considering she stayed there the longest. It was an amazing three years for her. Then, the hunky boyfriend proposed and Jillian hopped on a bus to New Orleans with all of her savings, but not much else. She was very sad to go that time.
New Orleans was a whole different experience. Jillian made sure she stayed for Mardi Gras, but after that the city just wasn’t fun enough so, she used what was left of her savings to do a tour of Europe just to say she’d been there. She began in England and ended up in Greece. Along the way she made even more money by stealing and gambling and doing any other number of things that involved her knowing more than others or things that others didn’t want people to know. Just before she left Greece she gave a large amount of her fortune to the families that allowed her to live with them because she didn’t know what else to do with it. She’d spent five years in Europe.
Once back in America, in Maine, Jillian decided to get involved with the stock market and investing. After that, she didn’t have to worry about money anymore, not that she really cared. Money was always just a means to living her life the way she wanted to. From Maine, Jillian decided to visit every state she’d never visited and stay there for about a month. It’s been a few years and now she’s in Odessa, Texas slightly bored out of her mind. She’s thinking of going to Dallas or San Antonio soon if things don’t liven up for her soon.
Other information: Jillian can put her whole fist in her mouth.
