Micah Walker
Manhattan, NY
November 4th, 2014Ever since the Watchers disbanded, Micah had to keep himself busy in other ways. Before he always had something to do. Being a Watcher there was a mission or a follow-up, something that took up most of his time that he’d focus on. Other than that there was always his college classes that he still managed to also keep up with. But since the Watchers were no more, Micah didn’t really know what to do with himself lately. So he attempted to keep busy in other ways.
Taking up an extra class, volunteering more at the Aquarium, listening to police scanners in case anyone needed saving, actually having a social life. These were all things Micah attempted to swamp himself with so at least he could still feel like he was doing something. Even if he really wasn’t.
He kept meaning to stop by his Uncle Ronan’s restaurant to visit and see how the business is going, but lately he had swamped himself in enough real life work that he just ether kept forgetting or something else was coming up lately. But he needed to just stop looking for excuses to waste time and go. It wasn’t like he needed to ever hide anything from Ronan. He might not be his relative by blood, but it was still his God father after all, he was always going to be family and a part of his life. He’s also one of the few Special’s in the family that doesn’t have villainous tendencies like his father did or his half-brother. Plus, Ronan understood how Micah felt about the Watchers since he was one too. They worked alongside each other at one point and he always thought that was cool.
After his last class of the day with the afternoon already settling in, Micah made his way across the city and too Ronan’s restaurant. It wasn’t that far away from campus, only took him about fifteen minutes to get there, which wasn’t too bad in a huge bustling city like this. Before he knew it, he was there. Plenty of cars in the parking lot which meant business must have been going very well for him. Which put a smile on Micah's face right away to see.
Micah got out of his car and made his way inside. He recognized the some of the employee’s right off the bat. After all, it wasn’t Micah's first time here and most of the long-term employee’s knew he was family of Ronan’s by now. “Hi, I’m looking for my Uncle Ronan. Where is he?” The woman pointed him in the right direction, saying he was in his office so Micah went along and slipped right into the back. He smiled and waved at the employee’s, some of which was confused by him being through there. Definitely a few new staff since last time Micah was there. He finally made it to Ronan’s office and knocked on the door, peeking his head in. “Surprise.” He grinned as he saw him sitting there at the desk, working on something.
“I hope I’m not interrupting. I did say I’d come visit, so here I am.” He said, moving inside and making sure to close the door behind him for the noise from the kitchen was still very noticeable. “How’s everything going, Uncle?” He said as he took a seat across from his God father’s desk.
