Greetings. Welcome to my humble abode.
The press, and, thereby, the public at large, has taken to calling it "the Moynahan Manor," but I find that to be a bit too grim and authoritative. Besides, I had already taken to calling her "Áine." In case you couldn't tell by looking at my last name, I am part Irish. For any further elucidation I would refer you to the search engine of your choice.
Front View
I have to say that I was not the person who chose this house. It's much too big for me, as you will notice. However, it is a lovely home, and I'm glad to have it. Let's take a look through the floorplans:
(Images screen captured on The Sims 3.)
First Floor
Naturally, there is a foyer, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen on the first floor. There is also a half-bathroom. One set of doors leads from the living room to the porch, and another set of doors leads from the kitchen to the porch.
Second Floor
The second floor contains the guest bedrooms as well as my own. The guest bedrooms face south-southwest, and mine is in the north wing. While all of the rooms are wonderfully designed, I chose mine for the way the light fills the room as the sun crosses the sky. It also offers views out onto the patio:
Second Floor and Patio Detail
There are some beautiful trees in the backyard as well. One they tell me is an acacia, while another I can tell is a cherry tree. The patio itself is wide and there are some places to sit around it. One is, of course, at a chess table.
Attic
There is a third floor of sorts. I've found it useful to convert the attic into rooms where I can. One large space gives me room for exercise equipment, while another holds a telescope, another bookshelf, and other assorted items. A third I've placed a table and computer in, as a second workstation. I call it the "micro-office." It's tiny.
Sunset
The house at dusk. You might have noticed the structure to the left. It's a garage. While formerly the items that are now in the attic were stored in the garage, now it only contains my car.
Here is a video of the layout, in case you prefer a more interactive view of it.
Please note that while my grounds are not heavily guarded, it is difficult to enter my home without my knowledge. Surprise guests are always welcome, so long as they ring the doorbell first.
All the best,
Christian Moynahan
