I have chosen to believe that nothing is quite what it seems.
Inaki knew that his life would never be anything that could resemble normal. Ever since that day that he froze the waters in the beakers by simply thinking about it he knew his life would never be normal. That fact was something that he had come to terms with, it was a fact of life that he had come to accept. Hell, he had developed small breasts that flowed with a decent amount of milk so he could help feed his children. However that did not stop him from longing for just a day or two of what could be considered normal every now and again.
Perhaps it was too much to ask, given that complexities that were within his life, not just as a Special, but as a human being. He had unforeseen gender identity issues, even to a point where at one point he had developed an entirely feminine personality that manifested itself into its own person. That person was eventually extracted and put into a body of their own, yet the issues with gender still persisted.
Inaki didn't know what the end goal of it was, if he wanted to pursue changing of his sex or if he just enjoyed being feminine. For the time being though, he enjoyed time spent at least dressing up in pretty dresses or blouses and skirts. Much to his surprise, so did his wife, though Felicia pretty saw anything as a reason to engage in physical intimacy. While Inaki did enjoy having sex with his wife, part of him desired him for them to connect more than just when they did during the physical act of intimacy.
As Inaki searched through their elaborate wine cellar, he wondered if his wife was truly capable of being romantic. There was certainly lust within her and love, he could never say that Felicia did not love him, even with what many would consider odd spousal behavior. Was there romance though, was there something for her beyond just what appeared on the surface? It was a bit strange, but of all the Rahal women Inaki had met, it was Niri that seemed to be the most human, to still have a full range of emotions that were displayed.
Maybe it was just a side effect of being immortal, Inaki could not blame them if it was. Immortality was something that he would never have to deal with and all the implications of never having to meet with the end of ones physical being. Ma seemed to think that Inaki's newly manifested abilities could perhaps prolong Inaki's life, but that would in no way make Inaki immortal. Though the thought of having however many extra years these new abilities might grant him to share with his children and Felicia was a pleasant one.
"Ah, there you are." Inaki said aloud to himself as he found the cabarnet that he was looking for within the cellar. Pulling it out of its storage space, Inaki dusted off the bottle from where it had accumulated the matter while it was being stored in the cellar. It supposedly was a really good wine and Inaki was hoping that it lived up to the reputation as he clambered out of the wine cellar and towards the kitchen.
When he got there, he pulled out the two glasses he had previously put into the freeze to give them a nice chill. Uncorking the bottle with one of the many bottle openers that could be found within the manor, he poured the wine into both glasses until they were three fourths full. With a smile, he placed the bottle on the cabinet and took the glasses with him to the dining room, placing them on opposite ends of the table.
He returned to the kitchen once more to retrieve a box of matches, before using them to light a trio of candles that he had placed on the table. Inaki wasn't sure what scent was Felicia's favorite, so he had chosen vanilla hoping that it would make due. With that now set, Inaki flipped off the lights and basked in the glow that the flickering flames of the candles provided. Then he slid over to where the stereo was located and put on the cd he had chosen for the evening, supposedly good romantic, ambient music. If there was a night to see if Felicia had any romantic inkling within her, this would be the night.
"Felicia dear, dinner is ready. Why don't you come down to the dining room before it gets too cold?" Inaki called out as he decided that the music suited his needs. Not sure what to wear, Inaki had opted for a trick of sort. He left the dining room and made his way to his study and flipped on his computer. Depending on if Felicia sat at the foot or head of the table would decide his outfit, which he would watch from a webcam he had set up discreetly in the dining room just for this night.
