There is the feeling you get when you look at whats left and I am searching for a sign
Inaki was reeling a bit lately, for reasons that were beyond him. Ever since the event during Halloween, he had felt a bit titter tattered and just ever so slightly off kilter. Honestly he was wondering if maybe he was starting to have a mental breakdown following all the screwed up crap that had gone on in the past few years of his short life. There was a laundry list of things that he and his therapist were constantly working through. It was a miracle that he hadn't started to go bezerk before now...
... though there was that entire Claudia thing to take into consideration...
Inaki was not entirely sure if Felicia had noticed his mood swings or if she did, if she really cared. It was not as if him having mood swings before all this was really out of the ordinary, but this felt different somehow, though Inaki could not exactly put his finger on it. However he was entirely certain that Ma had noticed the change in his behaviors, besides being an ancient, wise being, she was also pretty observant. If she had yet to intervene, then perhaps it really was not something to worry about.
At the very least, Inaki was enjoying the bonding that he was having with his children. While it still shook him as a bit odd, helping Felicia breastfeed the children was such a bonding sensation that he simply lacked the words to properly convey it. These were his children, something that he had brought into the world. There was no stronger bond that he felt to the world, not even the love and care he had for his wife and adopted family. Whatever may come, he would do everything within his power to keep them safe and to care for them.
However something also was pushing against his curiosity, the odds of the twins having an elongated life like their mother, grandmother, and... sister. Because of this, Inaki found himself secretly scouring the confines of the Rahal library to see if he could come across some of the journals from either Felicia or Ma. It really was not a subject he wanted to bring up with them, speaking about just fifty years back seemed to be a problem with Felicia, much less hundred of years and her previous children.
It had been by pure accident that he had stumbled upon the diary of Felicia's that he now had in his hands and was attempting to translate it. After many hours of searching the library without success, Inaki had decided to rest and sat up against one of the shelves. Leaning back as he relaxed his eyes darted up to the ceiling and lo and behold there above him on the third shelf was a dusty old diary with Italian writing on it, clearly spelling out Felicia. Yet inside the writing was something else, maybe Hungarian as Felicia said she was?
And so now he was sitting once more in the library, his tablet with him, trying to decipher the current page. If his translations were anywhere close to right, it was speaking of her time in Florence and boredom. Yet there was also talk of Lucia... the woman Inaki knew now as Nireva or as most people called her, Niri. Inaki was so engrossed in the pages that he had neglected to hear the footfalls of someone coming into the library as well...
