So I could (and may) ask for someone to do this for me on fiverr or I might just research it on my own, but since I'm a lazy arse with three press releases to write tomorrow and one to correct . . .
I need someone to walk me through the steps of how to make a music video. Because I have this vision of a video I want to do to a specific song, but . . . I have no fucking idea where to begin with Windows Movie Maker or SonywhateverthefuckCOhas or whatever other freeware video makers there are out there. I could just ask one of you to make it, but I WANNA DO IT ON MY OWN BECAUSE I'M A BIG GIRL.
If one of you kind souls could tell me which program you use and give me a really detailed outline (from "Click the WMM icon on your desktop to open the program" all the way to "You can now upload this to your youtube account!") of how to do this, I would be grateful and will make you a pretty pretty friendship bracelet in return (Rayne already has one, CO will be receiving one, and I can't remember if I made one for Sissy or anyone else on here. >_>)

Eh, I use iMovie and Final Cut Pro, the former being free on Macs. But the basic steps are:
1) Download movie clips from YouTube using keepvid.com 2) Open WMM or whatever you're using 3) Go to File < Import and import teh clips 4) Chop the pieces of the clips that you want and drag them into the timeline (the area at the bottom of the screen) 5) Arrange the clipped clips in the timeline in a way that you like and that matches the music 6) Add effects in appropriate (or not) places 7) Save your movie 8) Upload it to YouTube 9) \o/

I'm use to Sony Vegas Pro, which is an expensive program unless you find a free, and risque, way to get it.
1. Download the clips you want from youtube. 2. Open up the program. 3. Select Explore on the tap and search your files until you find the clips you wanted. 4. Drag the selected clip into the trimmer, which is to the right of the explore/fx/transition/media generator taps. 5. Select the portion of the clips you want and then drag them into the video board at the bottom of the program. In the latest version you can right click the selected clips before you drag it and select Video Only to insure you get the video clips and no added sounds. 6. Do the same thing with the music file. 7. Fiddle around with the clips to your liking. 8. When the video is to your liking, select file and Render. 9. When it's done rendering, upload to Youtube.
