Agnes is a very eccentric women, in the sense that she seems to behave in ways others wouldn't dream of. Despite her age, she seems to like the idea of keeping ahold of her youth and the way she does that is by acting like a rebellious teenager. Agnes likes to party, she likes to dissappear for days and drink, get high and hang out with her friends (who oddly are her own age yet with the same maturity level as she). Agnes doesn't really fit the role of a mother, and often has a swap of positions with Lilly who is forced to become the parent for the most part.
Agnes spends a lot of her time on protest rallies, on voicing her opinions and fighting for what she believes in. She is a good parent despite rarely being around for Lilly, she likes to provide things for her child and be there whenever she is needed (even if its via the telephone) she dotes on her only child. When it comes to advice, she's usually left Lilly to do whatever she likes, but always heeded a warning about men. You see, Agnes has never been one to think positively of men and there lack of commitment. She taught Lilly the same, which is why she can be blamed for Lilly's lack of experience with men, her mother practically convinced her that all men are only out for one thing and when they get it, you'll be on your own.
Lilly is optimistic, unlike Agnes, but she is aware that one day her daughter will learn by herself. Agnes is afraid to be alone and that is another reason why she has somewhat poisened Lilly's mind in regards to relationships, because she doesn't want her to have her own life...as selfish as that may be, Agnes cant help it.
Agnest stands at 5'9, she has red hair that is straight in style and mid lengthed, falling in the middle of her back. For a woman of her age, Agnes is in pretty good shape. She takes up various keep fit regimes such as pillates and yoga, to keep her figure trim. Agnes avoids crappy foods, processed meals and anything with sugar. She's a fitness buff who likes to keep her weight and health in chechk
EMPATHY
Empathy or Emotional Perception is the mental ability to feel or experience the emotions of others. Agnes can use this to figure out how someone is feeling, and to understand why someone does what they do. This can be used to determine the presence of hidden subjects as well, because Agnes can sense the presence of emotions, and trace them back to their source. However, sometimes Agnes can also project her emotions onto others, to get them to feel as she feels. In some cases, she has been known to even be capable of literally seeing people’s hopes, fears, desires and thoughts by connecting with them on a profound level.
Agnes was born in Midland, Texas. She is the middle daughter and of Jefferson Willard and Brigitte Cosgrove.
Agnes's up bringing was particularly strict. Her parents were always working and Agnes was practically raised by her grandmother. From a young age her family had high hopes for her and strangely as the middle child, she found she got a lot more attention then her younger and elder sisters. Agnes was somewhat capable of shadowing both her siblings and because of that from a young age she never really got along with them.
The girls were bought up proper, they weren't allowed to do many things without grandmas consent. There days would often involved going to school, coming home and going to bed. In the summer the girls were forced to help there grandfather on his ranch before attending boarding school for the rest of the holidays.
With such a strict upbringing and very little time to hold onto her childhood, it was no wonder Agnes never really grew up. Even when Agnes had Lillian she still played on her 'youth' she missed it and tried her hardest to hold onto it. Agnes never really worked any real jobs after detaching herself from her family.
After discovering her ability at the age of 18, she found herself becoming quite the 'scam artist' by using her abilities to pose as a Psychic. Her 'career' caused her relationship with Lillians father to break apart and one evening when Lillian was four years old, Bill left. To be honest Agnes wasn't too cut up about it, Bill was always drinking and the two always fought, it was best for her daughter to be without her waste of a time father, because Agnes could do just fine on her own.
Agnes behaviour rubbed off on her daughter, she was the kind of woman who lived for the now. She'd dissappear for days on end on protest rallies and other ventures. Others made fun of Agnes but Lilly always supported her mother. Agnes always felt blessed to have Lillian because without her, she'd have given up on her life a very long time ago.
