Personality-
Ronan is the divorced father of two children, and most of his life is about taking care of them and his current wife. Ronan has gone a long a way from the man he used to be. In his youth, he was foolhardy and wayward in living up to his values. He has since grown to be a dependable and respectable man. He is a hard worker, a devoted husband, and a responsible father.
His relationship with his ex-wife is good, and they have no ill will towards each other. The relationship had failed due to Ronan's more impulsive nature at the time. He had become adulterous and would spend too much time in underground fighting organizations.
In his maturity he is inclined to think things through more carefully. Ronan is faithful to his current wife, who he loves deeply. He is extremely protective of his children, and will stop at nothing to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing.
In his professional life, he is fair and kind to his employees. He is passionate about cooking, and so he attended culinary school and now owns and operates his own restaurant, and acts as the lead chef. He favors American classics to cooking fancier foreign foods, even though he can do either just as well. To him, it's about being down to earth and not getting too full of himself. He sees those chefs that are wrapped up in gourmet cooking as pretentious snooty types.
He has a pretty strong sense of right and wrong, and he holds himself and his family to these standards. His core ethic is to treat others as he himself would like to be treated.
Despite this, he has demons to overcome. Ronan has violent tendencies still lurking in him, as a desire to lose himself in the thrill of hand to hand combat entices him frequently. He often sates this lust by living vicariously through watching sporting events oriented toward combat and martial arts. Ronan struggles with a former drinking problem, as well. He knows he might succumb, and that this is ultimately related to his days as an amateur fighter.
He is possessed of a short temper, and can be a force to reckon with when angered. Ronan's temper can be easily set off by a variety of insults and minor failings of those around him, and this one thing that in his maturity, has not stopped plaguing him.

Abilities/Powers/Skills-
Kinetic Energy Amplification-
Ronan can amplify the kinetic energy in his physical attacks, giving them added force. He merely increases the force of an attack, allowing him to hit harder. This ability is not always in effect, he must activate it before he can benefit from its effects. His physical attacks can be amplified by a factor of four. Note, this is not an increase of actual physical strength, but the kinetic energy that his attack contains. He cannot lift anything that a normal human could not. When weilding an object that he is strong enough to use as a weapon or tool in his hands, he can amplify the kinetic energy in his use of that object. For example, he can swing a sledgehammer and knock a hole in a brick wall with the hammer. The object has to be durable enough to withstand the effects of hitting the surface in question. A wooden bat, for example, cannot be used to knock a hole in a brick wall, without destroying the bat in the process.
Ronan can also increase his running speed in a similar fashion, amplifying the kinetic energy of his body in motion to achieve superhuman speed. He can therefore run at a maximum average speed of four times faster than the speed of an average man of his age in average physical condition. This has a danger of overheating and dehydrating him rapidly, so he must drink a lot more water than the average person.
Limits-
Kinetic Energy Amplification-
His actual physical strength is subject to the same limitations to a normal human being, even though to an outsider it would seem he possessed superhuman strength. Kinetic Energy Amplification is a strain on his built in human endurance, and as such, he can become fatigued when using this power for more than six hours continuously, without any rest. Pushing his ability beyond these limits will put a strain on his heart that could very well prove fatal.
Additionally, when using kinetic energy amplification to increase his speed while running, Ronan runs the risk of overheating/dehydrating after hours of continuous use without rest and hydration. He cannot amplify his use of kinetic energy in excess of the factor of four previously mentioned.
Appearance-
He is about average height, and his build is that of a trained fighter. He has dark hair, with earthy green eyes, and a pale complexion. His facial features are clearly Celtic in their structure. He has a habit of preferring some facial hair visible, to being clean shaven, giving him a rugged character in his appearance.
He clothes himself in fairly simple garments, being a tee shirt and jeans kind of guy. He wears a chef uniform when operating his restaurant of course. He has a good deal of scarring on his torso, his legs, and his face. This is from his days of fighting in underground streetfighting clubs.

History-
He was born in Boston, to a working class family. Ronan was raised with Irish Catholic values, though they never really stuck for him. He grew into a boy that would rather make easy money fighting other boys in improvised boxing matches. This escalated to the point of dropping out of high school to devote most of his time to amateur fighting, which he saw as a way to escape the realities of his life. He had hated school, feeling that he had no real place there. He was out of sorts with what his parents expected of him, and he found acceptance among a sub culture of ruffians and streetfighters, that felt just naturally like a family to him.
In the midst of this lifestyle, he became an alcoholic, having grown into the party lifestyle that attached itself to his hobby of streetfighting. He would drink every night, and awake in the morning to barely remember what had transpired the night before. His wild life finally caught up with him when he met, and slept with, a woman named Jessica. They had a long dalliance, and then a pregnancy resulted. They married, and had another child. Their first born was a son, named Aiden Sean MacGuiness. Their next was a daughter named Erin Brigid MacGuinness.
After five years of marriage, Ronan and Jessica came to a crossroads. Ronan had strayed and broken his marital vows. This was the straw that broke the camels back for their marriage, which was troubled from the begginning. They had endured his general recklessness and his drinking problem, but they could not endure the infidelity. A divorce soon followed, and custody of the children was split between the two.
Ronan entered into a somewhat difficult period after this, and sank further into his alcoholism. It came to the brink when he almost shot himself one night, after he had kissed his children good night from returning them home to their mother. He had felt as if he had failed everyone, and he truly saw the level of irresponsibilty he had descended into with his life. He was about to end his life, when it occurred to him he had to try. He had to keep trying to be a good man. To that end, he checked himself into Alcoholics Anonymous. When he had defeated his addiction, he proceeded to make something more of his life. He attended a culinary academy, having always enjoyed cooking and food, and made it his goal to become a decent chef. This he accomplished, and in the process fell in love with a bright young woman who also had been interested in the food industry--albeit on the management side. They had started out as a business partners, but in the hustle of building their business, they built a life together. Her name was Gwenyth Hartman when they met, but they eventually got married, and she is a very happy step-mother to Ronan's children.
Anything else?- He is a relatively new manifest, despite his age. Also, please consider him for the Resistance! Vive la Resitance!

Sample RP-
Ronan was looking forward to a special night. His anniversary. They had managed to find a relief management team for the occasion, and they would be attending their own restaurant. It was the only place that would satisfy the couple. Gwen had been gifted a beautiful evening gown for the night, an early present for her. He had himself bought a suit for this dinner, and it was unusual for him to do so for much of anything. But this was a milestone in their relationship.
Dinner was just between them. The greater celebration would follow tomorrow, as the weekend was going to be an extended tribute to their love. The families would come together and celebrate the happiness and success of this partnership. But tonight was all about sharing that with each other, and each other alone.
He straightened himself up, giving himself a look in the mirror. He had a good life. A normal life. He had escaped from the tumultuous chaos of his past life. He was in a place called home now. Even the whole business about specials had not upset him in this state. Not even the fact he had discovered he was one could take away what he had. It could only add to his wonderful life, right?
He was taken by surprise when his wife came in, radiant. She was prepared for this evening as well. It was all so perfect, like a fairy tale ending. Little did he know, the story of Ronan MacGuinness had only just begun.
