PERSONALITYTalkative: Getting into a conversation with Clark is a really bad idea if you are regarded as the faint of hearted. Clark is just one of these people who manages to sustain both sides of a conversation on his own. It is almost impossible to get the man to shut up without some physical force. He constantly feels the need to spout whatever comes to his mind out in the open and as such finds it difficult not to talk and finds silence rather uncomfortable because he doesn’t know how to deal with it properly. Clark is known as one of these people who can talk over you and do it in such a way that he will be heard over you.
Blunt: Whilst he might not mean to be, Clark can be very frank in everything that he says. He doesn’t know how to hold back any of the thoughts that intrude on his own mind. He will say what he has to say to the persons face rather than ducking and diving behind their back like some sort of coward. He doesn’t know how to hold a secret and that for him might be one of his biggest weaknesses because he finds it so hard to lie to someone’s face.
Doormat: Clark is one of these people who likes to see others pleased and so usually goes out of his way in order to please those around him. From a young age he has been eager to please the people around him so as they don’t get upset with him. Due to this, people can tend to walk all over him and he has no idea on how to stand up for himself because he’s so used to being treated like this. He will generally go out of his way in order to see someone happy or smiling, even if this means abandoning his beliefs and opinions.
Chameleon: Clark is a crafty one to say the least, knowing how to blend in with the situation and act like he knows what’s going on when the complete opposite is actually true. Due to his doormat-ish nature, Clark has learned how to easily abandon what he believes in so that he can easily be someone whom he needs to be. Due to this, Clark is often viewed as a rather fake individual since no one seems to know when Clark seems to be acting real or is trying to be someone else. His mastery over all blending in has led to him being able to escape from most trouble by acting as inconspicuous as possible.
Eccentric: What some would call an endless pool of energy, Clark calls eccentricity. Clark is always on full alert, even when he is tired and always seems to have energy to spare. He un-willingly always acts very hyper and like he is on a constant sugar rush. Whilst some people might be capable of keeping up with his eccentric nature, others find it rather annoying since Clark doesn’t seem to have an off switch for his own psyched up nature.APPEARANCE
Clark has never been one to truly care for how he looks and it definitely shows itself. Whilst his hair is most often neatly groomed and tied down for social gatherings, most of the time it presents itself as a deep brown faux-hawk simply manufactured by the winds resistance against his own hair. Along with that he has deep blue eyes whose pupils seem slightly watered down. To go with this are ample amounts of facial hair which just go to prove the extent to how little he actually cares about grooming habits. As of right now the man stands in at 5’6’’ and weighs approximately 165lbs.
His fashion sense is something akin to what he feels most comfortable in. He has spent most of his life in the northern regions of Canada and so can take to cold weather like a pro, never really needing more than one layer at a time unless it gets too cold. Most of the time his outfits are based on convenience in that they are just there waiting for him when he wakes up. Rarely ever does he dress smart and generally dresses in casual clothes, whether it be some social gathering or some formal event.
Snowboarding; Whilst it might not be a skill that comes in handy often, it is something he does have in his bank of skills which he has perfected over the years. Clark is known for his snowboarding skills and that he can kick some serious ass on a board. Because of this, he has become notably, the 6th best recorded snowboarder in Canada at the moment.
Hunting; Clarks father always seemed to want the best for him and even went out of his way in order to connect with his son in perhaps the only way he knew how, Hunting. You see from a young age, Clark was taken out hunting, his father thinking it would be a great way to bond with his son; and it worked for a time. During these trips, Clark would learn about many things such as how to tie knots, how to set traps, how to fire a gun etc. His father simply made no attempt to stop because he felt it was a great way to get to know his son.
American Sign Language; It was never easy having to share your room with half a dozen strangers growing up. Clark learnt from a young age how to adapt to others needs and when several partial hearing foster kids where adopted into the home, Clark learnt Sign Language, more as a sign of respect than anything else really.
Mastery Of Dialects; Some skills you just have, and this is the one that Clark was gifted with. His need to talk and to learn had been recognised and he soon figured out he was rather good at impersonating people on TV, well not the people themselves but the accents the carried themselves with. He found it quite early that he was a pro at it and has simply went on and adapted and made use of it in his everyday life.
Limits-
No skill is foolproof as history has proven time and time again. Just like this, Clark is limited when it comes to his own skills.Skills
Snowboarding; It’s a dangerous sport, and Clark knows the risks all too well. While he might be good at snowboarding, there’s still the chance that someone will come along and clean his clock good. No matter how hard Clark might train, he is still not going to be the best at it. Due to several incident’s, he has retired from Professional Snowboarding so will never know how good he actually is.
Hunting; Hunting’s even more dangerous than Snowboarding, and the risks become quite clear fairly early on. You see Clark is a talkative guy, meaning that he often gives his own position away. Combine that with the fact that he can be fairly accident prone, and you have yourself a recipe for disaster. Clark versus Nature is just a battle that no one is going to win.
American Sign Language; Not really a useful skill unless he runs into someone who is hard of hearing or a mute AND knows sign language. To assume that everyone who is deaf knows sign language is simply ridiculous and as such Clark only get’s to showcase this talent on very rare occasions.
Master of Dialects; The only flaw as far as his accent’s go is that they will never really be perfect unless he has a really good listen at whatever he wants’ to sound like.
The story starts like this. One upon a time not so long ago. Tommy used to work on the Docks. However, the union was on strike and he was down on his luck. To say times were tough for poor old Tommy were a remarkable understatement. He tried his best to work for his family and provide for them but it seemed Gina wasn’t having an easier time. You see, Gina worked in the dinner all day. Since Tommy couldn’t earn whilst out of work, Gina had to work for her man and brought home her pay in hopes that each time would have to be the last. She kept telling herself that she had to hold on to what she had and that it doesn’t make a difference if they made it or not. They at least had each other and that was a lot, but for love, they were willing to give it a shot.WHOOOOAAAAHHHH WE’RE HALF WAY THER-Okay so admittedly life wasn’t easy for either of them but they gave it their best shot to make a family and a name for themselves. As soon as they found enough money and scraped enough together, they escaped from the harsh eyes of a populated Canadian City and made their way to a more reclusive place in hopes that they might be able to raise a family there. What they did was remarkable for two youngsters in their early Twenties with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Making their way to the smaller community, Tommy managed to find a job within the small town as a hunter. While it might have been a change of pace from what he was used too, he took to it like a duck to water and it seemed to sit well with Tommy. Of course, while Tommy was out earning the bread, Adelaide soon found herself pregnant with a child on the way. Though it was a rather happy occasion for both of them, both of them couldn’t help but to worry about how they were going to manage to raise a child. It was something which was barking at both of them for the whole nine months.
But after those Nine months they couldn’t help but feel rejoiced as they realised they had a healthy son, or so it seemed on the outside. You see, on the inside Harry was sick, and by sick I mean really sick. Both Adelaide and Tommy couldn’t help but to want their son live an enriched and happy life. Harry was always his father’s son, not letting his illness stand in the way of anything. He went out hunting with his father, despite how ill he was and often pushed himself to the limits to see how far he could go.
Eventually after a long and hard battle, Harry died at the young age of fifteen.
Too say that they were both distraught at the loss of their son would have been an understatement because they were absolutely devastated by his death. But that didn’t stop them trying again, believing that this time they could make it work. Knowing full well what a family had done to them in bringing them closer together, they became Foster Parent’s, allowing children to pass through from time to time.
Not long after that Clark came along and gave them a second chance at being biological parents. Clark honestly seemed to have a mind of his own, not wanting to be the conforming type and rather wanting to stand out from all the other children in the house. Of course what made him stand out most was the fact that he couldn’t tell red from green, a genetic trait that he had picked up from his grandfather and his father before him. That didn’t stop young Clark as he tried many things in order to stick out.
He took up hobbies which usually followed with dropouts because Clark really couldn’t commit himself to anything he didn’t see himself in. Of course that all changed when he found his passion of Snowboarding. It was something that one of his Foster brothers had taught him. He looked up to the guy, even only if he played a minimalist part in Clark’s own life. He took to Snowboarding pretty well and with practice of his skills, he even became better than his Foster Brother.
Whilst this was happening, his father was taking him on hunting trips, missing the days when he could do so with Harry. Effectively Clark had become Harry’s replacement and whilst he might have been okay with that at first, he soon became annoyed that his dad was treating him differently just because he missed the bonding experience with his dead son. It did give him useful skills for the future but he had to learn them from the fact that his father was looking for a replacement son.
As soon as Clark was old enough, he entered the world of competitive Snowboarding and found it to be rather intense, more so than the stuff he was used to doing. It didn’t take long for him to encounter some mishaps, such as slamming his head off a rock and half cracking his skull and slamming into a tree so hard that it caused nerve damage to his nose. He had to work harder in order to keep up with everyone, which he was fine with doing really because it wasn’t really a hassle for him. It really got to him as he realised he wasn’t the best and it only made him want to try harder and harder till all he was obsessed with was becoming this person.
It was only then that he had seen the monster he had become.
He retired from the world of Professional Snowboarding feeling that it was getting the best of him and turning him into someone he wasn’t. He left for New York, in search of the answer to himself more than anything else, even if he knew it was going to be near impossible to find. Lucky he met the one woman he could trust with his answers. After stopping by a Cocktail Bar on the ride home one night, Clark ran into Allanah Draco. The chemistry between them was intense, people were sure that they would wind up together one of these days. All of this led to one night of passion that resulted in Allanah getting pregnant. Now at this point Clark wasn’t a stand up guy and to be fair, he wasn’t the man he was today who took responsibility.
He travelled round the country for a while in hopes of escaping everything bad about his life, but after doing some soul searching in the most ludicrous of places, he finally stopped his pace and looked back on his life. He was approached by a company agent who offered him some stability, offered to let him be someone he wanted to be.
As he accepted he realised there was something he needed to do; he needed to try and find the girl he had abandoned all of those years ago. He wanted to own up for once and be the person that people depended upon.
Of course when he finally returned to New York in hopes of hunting down his one night stand and his daughter, he found that she had died a few years ago in a house fire and that his daughter was in the foster system. He took his child out of the foster system in hopes of trying to make a bond with her but he knows all efforts will be wasted seeing as how she has no idea who he is
