PERSONALITY & APPEARANCE
Personality--
Alexander Kilvayne is a genius to start with. He is a brilliant businessman, and doesn't let scruples get in the way of making a dollar. He refuses to back down from what he wants, and every "compromise" he agrees to benefits him more than the other guy. He doesn't rest until this is the case. His ambition is limitless, and his pride knows no bounds. Alexander is cold, calculating and often needlessly cruel. He has a harsh attitude toward failure, and will not tolerate disappointment. He pushes for everyone he associates with to excel, especially anyone wearing the name of Kilvayne. If they don't make the grade, they are as good as dead to him. He believes in the superiority of the special over normal humans, and follows a family tradition of selective breeding.
Alexander is an imposing person, with a clearly dominant attitude. He does not stand for insubordination in anything. He is not one to overstate his strength though. He usually keeps things simple, and talks in a professional tone. He doesn't like to be rude, and he won't tolerate rudeness in others.
Alexander's overriding philosophy is that you take what you want, and don't let anyone get in the way. Sacrifices are made by pawns, not the king, and he sees himself as the king. He places his own interests above the interests of others, and will require those who become subordinate to him to subvert their own interests in order to further Alexander's agenda. This is especially true in how he runs his business.
Appearance--
He wears the finest clothes, and keeps in the latest fashions for men of wealth and power. He wants to send a message that he is the king, and to do so he has to wear the nicest threads money can buy. His clothing is always crisp, and never shows signs of wear or staining.
ABILITY IF APPLICABLE
Hydrokinesis--
Alexander has the ability to manipulate water with his mind. He can create a wide variety of effects using this ability. He can gather nearby water to him and shape it into various constructs, from making waves and whirlpools to creating weapons out of the water, such as projectile "rain drop" bullets or tendrils of water that harry his opponents. He can also extract the water from his enemies by touch, effectively dehydrating them. With time and effort, Alexander can cause a river to flood or he can manipulate water behind a dam to break through causing a flood. Alexander can choose to engulf his enemies in water, drowning and suffocating them. He can defend himself with a waterspout shield effect, a whirlpool column that would protect him from close range attacks. He can choose to conceal himself in a bank of fog as well.
Aqueous Form --
Alexander can also assume an aqeuous form, that imbues himself with the properties of liquid water. He can move under things that would otherwise be barriers, such as closed and locked doors. In aqeuous form he cannot physically harm anyone (as in, he cannot punch or shoot anyone) , nor can he be physically harmed by most attacks. What he can do is grapple someone, engulf them in his liquid body, and attempt to drown them. He can travel at much faster speeds than he could if he traveled in physical form. He is, however, vulerable to extreme temperatures in this state. He can be frozen or evaporated while in this form. If frozen, he will simply enter stasis in an icy tomb of sorts. If evaporated, he is as good as dead. He can add water to his "body", increasing his size , but he returns to his normal mass when he assumes his physical flesh and blood form.
HISTORY
Alexander was born into wealth, and he devoted his life to increasing that wealth. He studied at private schools, and had a serious childhood, as he was being groomed to become the patriarch of a family with noble lineage dating back to the Dark Ages. His relationship with his parents was not one of affection and love so much as a relationship of expectation and authority. He learned ettiquette, culture, and fiscal management at a time when most young boys rode bikes, swam in ponds, and played baseball in sandlots. His father was not business minded overly much, preferring to spend time overseas on archaeological digs. His mother was responsible for much of his social education, as she was a refined and cultured lady that insisted on a strict standard of manners in all affairs public and private.
Alexander's upbringing lead him to Oxford, where he studied Business and Economics. His degree was put to good use as he took the reigns of the Kilvayne Company that was founded in 1895 as the shipping and freight business. Alexander went against a long tradition, and took the Company public, and began an agressive campaign of expansion as the new CEO of the mutlinational, multi-industry empire known as the Kilvayne Corporation. He bought out companies in the pharmaceuticals, technology, insurance, energy, and finance industries. He has spent the better part of his life bringing the relatively small company into a force to be reckoned with.
In the process, he met Victoria Johannson, a beautiful young woman whom he became anamored of in short order. She was merely a student at the time, pondering her career, when fate dealt her a winning hand. She managed to marry a titan of industry, and she wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to wed into wealth and power. She chose to be a housewife, and bore the man several children, who are now grown.
Alexander looks to the future, and is uncertain of what it may bring. The issue on his mind is succession. It's a fact that all kings wonder who is fit to take the throne, and when the time is right.
