The most important thing in the world to Iris is without a doubt her family. She is a genuinely kind old woman. Having lived as long as she has, Iris is eager to see the best in people, though she definitely can also see their worst as well. Iris will do anything she can for her family and is not afraid to stand up and speak out for them. She loves each and every one of her relatives as if they were her own children. She takes incredible pride and care in her grandchildren, Zack and Amy and finds them to be some of the most delightful and amazing people she knows. Iris, without a doubt is the definition of a kind woman, who even a stranger would have difficulty turning away without offering to help first.
Iris absolutely loves technology and everything about it. The woman likes to keep herself up to date with the latest technological advancements and gizmos and gadgets. She's got her iPod, Laptop, even a web cam! Even though she's in her eighties... She's not going to let that slow her down at all. Iris takes pride in keeping up to date and staying hip. Which of course brings about the next important facet to Iris. Iris loves modern music. She likes to pop, lock and drop it with the best of them. Even though her grand children might think it's funny, Iris takes no shame in loving rap and hip hop. It keeps her fresh, plus dancing to such vibrant beats and grooves keeps her feeling as though nothing can stop her.
Iris Dawson stands at roughly 5'3", has hazel eyes along with wonderful flowing locks of curly hair. Rather than dye her hair like so many people her age do, Iris relishes in the natural beauty of her silver and white hair. Though she is petite, Iris is not one of those people many would want to mess with. She's not afraid to speak her mind or stand up to someone pushing her around. Despite her age, she throws one hell of a punch and is definitely not afraid to do so. Iris likes to wear a wide variety of clothing and often finds herself sporting anything ranging from modest wear to something much more outlandish.

Iris Dawson was born in 1927 to a modest family. Iris's childhood was not one of great fortune. Amidst the Great Depression, Iris's family worked incredibly hard and merely crawled by as they scrounged for every penny, nickel and dime they could find. Iris grew up knowing the benefits of hard work. Hard work meant success. You couldn't get by, by just skimming along the surface. You couldn't survive by just being lazy and not performing adequately. No, the key to success was hard work. Blood, sweat and tears came first. That was the way Iris was brought up and that was the way she lived her life. There was no changing that, it was hard coded into her very being and the woman refused to change. Even when the state of the economy changed and they began to prosper even more, Iris still continued to work as hard as an ox. As she grew older she knew that it was most certainly important... She wasn't going to suffer like that ever again and there was no way in hell that she was going to put her family through that as well.
Iris has lived a fairly normal life to be completely honest. The woman prospered incredibly through her hard work, however that doesn't mean she stopped for a moment to falter. Iris settled down and had a wonderful family. And those children eventually had children of their own. One of Iris's favorite things was to see how far she had come and how wonderfully life had spread. Her accomplishments, though minuscule in comparison to some, seem grandiose to Iris. She was able to overcome and stand firmly in times of trouble and great desperation. To beat all odds, Iris persevered and started a family. A family who continues to grow exponentially while prospering thoroughly. That is, without a doubt, Iris's greatest achievement... One she could never have asked to be prouder of.
