Personality-
Fallon is spontaneous and fun-loving. Unfortunately, her idea of “fun” will probably come at your expense. She has no qualms about sacrificing someone else’s comfort for the sake of her own; however, she is unlikely to surrender her own comfort, even if the act would save someone else a great deal of trouble. On the other hand, she is usually entertaining and captivating, and can charm her way into the esteem of others easily. She can be sweet and gentle if the situation calls for it, but she may only be cooperating so that she can use you or bend you to her will. She is not above blackmailing, bribing, or maiming someone to get what she wants.
She is unbelievably spoiled. Additionally, her temper is easily triggered- once it becomes clear that she is not going to get her way, she becomes impatient and abrasive. In extreme cases, she can grow violent. If she cannot take out her anger on the person who caused it, she will simply select any other poor fool that happens to be in her path.
On the rare occasions that she does grow close to someone- which is usually for only a very short period of time- she becomes very passionate and almost caring. She is attentive and warm toward the person; one might even mistakenly describe her as being “in love.” But, invariably, the infatuation dies away; she has not yet been involved in a long-term relationship, and has never been serious about pursuing one. She is much too concerned about enjoying herself and fulfilling her needs to bother managing the needs of others.
Likes-
- Attention- If you want to be on Fallon's good side, simply give her the spotlight.
- Being doted on- The next step to earning Fallon's "affection" is showering her with gifts.
- Expensive cars- The rarer, the better. She knows quite a bit about cars, but only because she spends so much time shopping for them.
- Fashion- Fallon manages to be ahead of the curve fashion-wise. She loves being a trendsetter.
- Stuffed animals- They are adorable. Fallon's apartment is filled with them.
- Bop-Its- Those toys were crazy fun. Fallon has a few stashed away.
- Sarcasm, when she uses it- There's nothing like confusing or belittling someone with some well-executed sarcasm.
Dislikes-
- Authority- Fallon has difficulty respecting people in power. She finds politics ridiculous, and views almost all leaders as incompetent.
- Being ignored- Fallon hates being left out of things, whether intentionally or accidentally. She's supposed to be the star, after all.
- Babies and children- They are incredibly obnoxious to her. They can't seem to fend for themselves, and they require sooo much attention.
- "Valley girls"- She may be stuck-up and materialistic, but she is not stupid like the typical valley girl, and she'll thank you to remember that.
- Airplanes- They are so overrated, and the food is terrible. (Except for Dominion's, of course. See history.)
- Designer knock-offs- She hates seeing street vendors selling fake Gucci purses or Ugg boots, and she hates seeing people walk around like they own the real thing.
- Sarcasm, when used toward her- Sarcastic people irritate Fallon; she thinks they should just say what they really mean.
Strengths-
- Fast thinker- Fallon can think fast and improvise with whatever assets are available to her at the moment.
- Cunning- She is manipulative and persuasive.
- Ambitious- Despite seeming to be a "party girl" and being able to live quite comfortably off her parents, Fallon prefers to do things herself. She likes the sense of achievement she gets from being independent.
- Insightful- Occasionally, Fallon displays a keen sense of intuition and astuteness, especially regarding business matters.
- Self-confident- Fallon's self-esteem is, or at least seems to be, incredibly high, perhaps excessively so.
Weaknesses-
- Indifferent toward others- Fallon does not hate people, but she does not love everyone, either. She seldom grows close to others.
- Apathetic- It is difficult to get Fallon interested in anything. Her main motivator is her own enjoyment.
- Impatient- Fallon expects instant gratification, and can grow irritable when she is forced to wait.
- Reckless- She often acts impulsively and does not think about the consequences of her actions before she makes them.
- Unreliable- Fallon can only be depended on to act in her own self-interest. When the best option for her changes, so will her loyalties.
Skills-
- Talented musician- Fallon can play the cello, guitar, mandolin, and just about any other stringed instrument very well. She is also a good singer.
- Acrobatic- As a child, Fallon enrolled in gymnastics classes, and currently practices kickboxing and other fitness activities to keep in shape.
- Good at fencing- She was on the fencing team in high school and college, and occasionally practices with her family.
Flaws-
- Lactose intolerant- Fallon must watch her consumption of dairy and other products that contain lactose.
- Asthma- She also suffers from mild asthma.
- Undiagnosed dysthymia- Fallon experiences many of the symptoms of dysthymia, but has never visited a psychologist for it.
Abilities/Powers/Skills-
Note- Fallon has not yet developed these abilities, and will manifest in-game, but I wrote this part in the present tense for simplicity.
Energy Propulsion- This ability allows Fallon to move matter by accelerating it via the application of energy. She can manage this by sending a wave of energy to act as a force on the matter. To do this, she harnesses the energy around her and channels it through herself temporarily.
Fallon can propel any object or group of objects up to around seven hundred fifty pounds. With enough concentration, she can propel particles, which causes an effect like a short burst of wind. The object then moves in whatever direction Fallon pushes it in. She can "steer" objects by applying force at different angles, but cannot move the object itself. If the "object" is living, the subject could steer him- or herself.
This ability does inherently allow Fallon to "fly" short distances, but flight is not an exclusive feature of the power. She can also use it to run and swim faster than normal, and she can push others to fly, or run and swim faster.
Energy Conversion- Fallon can also detect, temporarily harness, and convert any form of energy. This allows her to use any energy available. For example, she could change electric energy to psionic energy. Technically, she would also be able to defend herself against energy attacks by changing harmful forms of energy to more benign forms, but she would have to find a way to channel the dangerous energy through herself.
Limits-
Energy Propulsion- Fallon can propel roughly seven hundred fifty pounds, which is about the weight capacity of an average residential elevator. That is far less than the weight of most cars. This limit also means she could propel around five or six average-sized people, counting herself.
The distance she can propel an object depends on its size and her mental state. For example, if she is tired or distracted, she won't be able to push things quite as far. A good benchmark might be the distance she can propel herself- she is one hundred forty pounds and can "fly" about five miles on an average day. She can usually propel herself no faster than thirty miles per hour, whether she is flying, running, or swimming, or so on. She could do this for ten to fifteen minutes.
This ability does not allow her to give anyone or any object more energy. All it does is provide a force to put things in motion, like an invisible push. She cannot control energy beyond using it to propel objects- for example, she cannot store, generate, or drain energy, and she cannot channel it to make energy blasts, shields, or concussion beams.
Also, Fallon cannot control any objects she propels. The angle at which she pushes the object determines its direction; that is the only control she has over it. She could not move it in any other way than propulsion, and she cannot stop an object (other than herself) once it is moving.
Energy Conversion- The two main limits to this ability are that it has no offensive use and that Fallon's body is the conduit for this change. Fallon cannot store excess energy in her body; it would have to be expelled immediately via the use of her propulsion ability. Additionally, she cannot convert life-force energy at all.
Appearance-
At 5’9”, Fallon is somewhat taller than the average woman. She weighs roughly one hundred forty pounds, which is also slightly above average for a woman of her height. This can be explained by her subtly curved figure. Her bust and hips are somewhat larger and wider than one would expect, giving her an “hourglass” shape. Her body is well toned, thanks in large part to more than a decade of gymnastics training. Her hands and feet are small.
Her face is somewhat round, and her cheekbones are high and prominent. Her eyes are hazel. Her nose is thin, and her lips are a little more thick than average. She keeps her long brown hair straight most of the time, though occasionally she grows bored with this and switches to curls or a bob. She likes to wear expensive, stylish clothing, and tends to be at least one season ahead of mainstream fashion.

History-
Fallon was born into a very affluent family. The combination of "old money" on her mother's side and "new money" on her father's allowed the Daughertys to lead very comfortable lifestyles. Her mother, an only child, had inherited all of her family's assets, including their mansion in New Rochelle, though her career as an anesthesiologist certainly added to that wealth. Fallon's father had worked his way up to become the chief operating officer of national airliner Dominion Airlines, which was also a lucrative profession. Nadine's family originally disapproved of her husband, but grew to accept him as time passed.
As her parents' only child, Fallon grew up ridiculously spoiled. Her parents raised her well, but they doted on her unabashedly. They also sheltered her by keeping her enrolled in the best schools and constantly monitoring where she went and who she hung out with. They limited her hobbies to a few- classical guitar lessons, gymnastics, and, once she was old enough, fencing practice. None of these activities gave her much interaction with the outside world. As a result, Fallon was popular in school, and became known for the fabulous sleepovers her family would throw, but she never got to spend time with her friends outside of school or her home.
Whether this isolation caused her moody disposition or only exacerbated it is debatable. Whichever the case, Fallon grew up to be a melancholic and occasionally irritable adult. Each side of her family blamed Fallon's dark temperament on the other side's genes and left it at that. For her part, Fallon learned to cover up her depression, hiding it behind a more socially-acceptable mask of hedonism and narcissism.
Fallon did well in school academically, and, in compliance with her parents' wishes, attended MIT and majored in marketing, a discipline that she enjoyed learning about and that she was something of a prodigy in. After graduating, her father got her a position in the marketing department of Dominion Airlines. She currently has a mid-level executive position there.
Due to her family's social position, she is also something of a socialite, and is well-known in some circles, sort of like Paris Hilton, but without the scandals and ditziness. She is often invited to major social functions around New York and the country at large, and occasionally appears in the tabloids on the arm of some famous businessman or entertainer.
Fallon's parents do not always approve of her choices, but they tend to let her do as she pleases. The only expectation they have of her is that she continue to work at Dominion so that she can lead the corporation one day. At the moment, that goal happens to align with Fallon's aspirations for herself, so she complies with it, and is showered with gifts and money for doing so.
As far as she is aware, Fallon's family consists entirely of civilians. So far, her mother has managed to conceal her power- the ability to convince others that virtually anything is true. She has used this ability often, mostly to hide her extramarital affairs from her husband and daughter. Fallon has never suspected her mother of being a Special, but she does think she is one herself, because she did not manifest an ability on April Fourth. She is right, but she has yet to manifest her ability, and still considers herself a civilian by default.
Anything else?- Regarding the post count requirement- My most recent character is Marcus, a contest charrie; before that is Marshall, who has close to 100 posts at the moment. Also, I'm very forgetful, so if anyone sees Fallon pushing a car or something, just tap me on the shoulder and give me my pills.
Sample RP-
Sure, the temperature was just above freezing and felt like twenty-four Fahrenheit, but Fallon was in the mood for sorbet. That meant she was getting sorbet.
There was a little shop not far from Fallon's office, so once she had a free moment, she walked the few blocks and waited in line. The wait was brief, thankfully. Her over-the-knee Miu Miu boots hadn't been made for practical things like standing around. Or trudging through the snow, either.
The rest of her ensemble was largely obscured by the ruby red Calvin Klein trench coat she had thrown on to shield her from the elements. The skirted coat had a convertible collar that Fallon could have flipped up and fastened to keep her even more warm, but the folded-down look was more fashionable. She liked the color, too. "Honeysuckle" might have been declared the color for 2011, but given the way things were turning these days, Fallon predicted a swing toward darker colors in clothing on the horizon.
"Oh!" Fallon's thoughts on the upcoming fashion season were broken by the unexpected jarring sensation of someone running into her. Something cold touched Fallon's chest, seeping through her blouse like a spreading darkness. "I'm so sorry!"
Fallon blinked at the woman who had crashed into her. The slender blonde had a child's hand wrapped in one of her palms and an empty waffle cone in the other. The former contents of that cone were now splashed across Fallon's red coat and lacy white top.
"Ugh." Fallon swiped at the mess of chocolate ice cream with her hands, then, remembering herself, shook her hands off and reached around the woman for a stack of napkins on the counter. "Watch where you're going. If this had been my Prada coat, we would've had a problem."
She caught the woman rolling her eyes on the periphery of her vision. "Excuse me, do you have a problem?" Fallon suddenly asked, placing one chocolaty hand on the woman's shoulder to turn her around. "Care to guess how much it costs me to dry-clean these coats? More than whatever you make as a kindergarten teacher, sweetheart."
The woman scoffed, ignoring the child that was now pulling on her hand. "Then why not just wear normal clothes like the rest of us?"
As she looked down at the woman, Fallon's eyes crinkled, her face forming an expression that looked almost like forgiveness, with a touch of amusement. "Because I'm not one of you. Now run along, mmk? I wouldn't want to have your wages garnished to cover my dry-cleaning costs."
Rolling her eyes again, the woman skulked off, dragging her child along with her. Fallon stepped up to the counter, already forgetting about the incident as she smiled flirtatiously at the cute attendant. "What can I do for you?" he asked, returning her smile.
Fallon smirked, dabbing at the spill with a napkin. What could he do for her, indeed....
