Chapter One: April and May 2010
April Fourth: Day of Reckoning
Yeah, so the world almost ended. I was able to keep Angelis standing, at least, and my apartment wasn't destroyed, and the Porsche only needed a few dedents (which I did myself). Other people, not as lucky. And getting into an almost-shootout with a cop and a couple of Feds? Priceless.
iTunes Killed the Record Store Star
Well, that was interesting. I ran into Alessandro from the chat room. We went from chilling and listening to Alex Baroni to blackmailing bitches with packages. Now that's what I call 0 to 60.
Dessel checks in
Okay, so I mistakenly stopped a guest for looking suspicious. Was I supposed to know he was part of the MMA group? Then he lost his iPod, and wanted to thank me for returning it. All in a day's work, guy.
A Chick Checks In
So I have a new client who wants to file suit against Ark. I think she's got a pretty good shot, if we can get Ark to cooperate. It'll be interesting, to say the least. Especially if it goes to trial. Next thing you know, they'll be making TV shows about me.
Press Conference
Former terrorist (according to Daddy) wants to be the governor of Texas. He's running on the "Specials Are People Too" platform. I don't know how far he'll get, but it'll be some good TV while it lasts.
First Time
Ended up chauffeuring a bunch of people in the Porsche. The drive was actually pretty fun. The other girl would have enjoyed it. But, whatever. I'd pick a sports car over a bus any day.
Fugitive Surveys the Aftermath
WiFi really attracts the riffraff, doesn't it? The bastard was lucky I let him stay as long as I did. Daddy was right again. And you know what happens to riffraff.
Good Help, Inc.
It's nice to find someone else who knows what they're doing for once. Especially when said person is another Special, with a pretty interesting ability.
