No April Fool's this time. This is the last stretch of Volume IX plot.
It will consist of two threads. The second thread will be both concurrent with and subsequent to the first.
Both threads will take place in Washington, D.C.
The setting: a second battle between the U.S. Allies and the Dominion, this one initiated by the Dominion in U.S. waters.
Your characters are not required to keep their former loyalties. They can switch sides or choose to remain neutral, or former neutrals can get involved. However, again, if your character is Company or Elite, s/he will be expected to support the Allies.
Also however.
The main thread will be open to any character, even those who have taken neutral stances. In fact, I encourage neutral characters to join in this time. I encourage getting as many characters in as possible. There will be opportunities to jump in later, if you feel it will work for you.
Please list the characters and their sides - Allied, Dominion, or Neutral - that you expect to have in the main thread.

All right. It's been over a month since I posted the OP.
For those of you who have posted in it: thank you!
To those of you who have yet to do so: you have until Monday, 30 June to post there. The thread is linked in the post above. This is a site-wide thread - and you will want you characters to be there, I promise.
Post something, even if it's just an introductory post stating that your character is there. We don't need a novel. The time for novels will be later.

BG asked a good question - where, exactly, is the battle taking place? Answer: The water battle is taking place just off the coast, and the land battle is happening up the Potomac River from there, at the West Potomac Park. The group of people present but not at the battle (Gabriandria, Chriselle, & Co) are positioned closer to the Lincoln Memorial. Here it is on a map.
To make my last NPC post clearer, those who are actually part of the battle - those in the park - are now suspended in time. Time has not stopped, but their bodies are paused in motion. A dark-haired woman and her entourage seem to be the cause of that, as they are making their way into the park.
Those persons outside of the park are not affected by the suspension. And yes, it is too late to go back and change your post.

So the thread is taking place in February. Every other thread since then is happening in present time (such as Madde's being in September).
This will not do.
I am going to close Volume IX in the next two cycles of posts. Currently we are only waiting on Laz. (Chel will most likely be skipped this round, but her characters are barely involved in this part anyway, and she will be back soon.)
The next round will be the splitting of threads. In the round following that one, if no one has killed Lilith and her remaining crew yet, I will.
