Welcome to Resurgence Part III.
Unlike parts I and II, this part started with only a few individuals. These are the ones that Christian Moynahan initially told about the famine. Oh, you didn't hear about the famine? That's because no one told the American public about it.
Well, it's a long story, but Christian got arrested and put on trial for doing that. Initially, he was going to go along with the government's and most of his friends' advice and keep the famine a secret while all of them sneaked food into the country to make up for all that was lost. But, you know, getting arrested for saving the country has a way of changing a man's mind, and Christian changed his mind, government be damned.
Christian just blew the lid off the whole thing here.
It's a long thread, over 2,000 words, but worth reading. But the gist of is that yes, there was a famine; yes, Christian and his associates (who he refused to name for fear of them also being arrested) saved the country from said famine; and no, the government did not tell anyone about it.
If you figured people would riot about that, you're right.
This is a thread for everyone to post their characters' experiences with the riot. Currently, it is not mandatory; it's just a good idea to chronicle your characters' experiences, as they will be important later. This is kinda like the mega-thread we had for the three-month "power outage." Your posts don't have to be long or anything, it's just a way of being creative.
Please don't make me make it mandatory.
By the way, I sent you all a little New Year's gift. Check the lower left hand of the screen. Prospero año and such!
