Personality-
Helena is a reasonably nice and pleasant person to everyone who meets her. It takes awhile before she truly lets anyone in though, as she has some mild trust issues. Those she does let in, she often becomes good friends with, creating strong and sustained friendships. When dealing with new people and strangers, she tries to remain calm and stoic, giving people a chance to prove their own mettle before casting judgement. Beneath that placid exterior, there is a passionate person who often has their logic overruled by their emotions at the time. Helena has been known to try to use writing poetry and novels as a way to channel that passion and keep herself balanced.
Helena has trouble being intimate emotionally with others, with her own trust issues having sabotaged previous relationships. When she does try to form lasting relationships, she loses confidence and often breaks them off for fear of rejection. At times she loses her self esteem and those that can handle her baggage she often cherishes. She does not mind if her partner has extramarital affairs, as long as no emotional entanglements ensue, as she wants to be the one her partner is making a life with even if they need sexual outlets beyond her.
Helena wants and tries to good in the world. However her own lack of sustained work ethic often hampers her attempts to do so, as well as interfere with studying or work. Helena also realizes that what is morally the good or right thing to do and what is good considered by society are not always the same thing. As a result, she knows and sometimes does a little bit of evil if the net result is what she believes is good.
Abilities/Powers/Skills-
Stoichokinesis
Helena has the ability to mentally manipulate the natural chemical elements. The primary use of this ability allows her to alter the strength of molecular bonds in elements in order to shift elements into different states of matter (such as turning ice into water, or water into steam). This process would allow for a variety of effects such as being able to encase a wet foe in ice, or easily melt metals that normally would require a sophisticated process.
Transmutation
As her powers have developed, Helena has been able to manipulate not only the bonds that hold elements together with each other, but also the bonds that form elements on a sub-atomic level. This has allowed her to shift elements into a different elements regardless of their chemical make up. As a result of the evolving of her proficiency with her powers, Helena has been able to learn to exert a moderate amount of control over the elements he shifts. If say she was shifting a chunk of copper into carbon, she could control the shift to form a spear or axe like object and even launch it mentally at a foe.
As her powers have grown and with her exposure to the elements, she has began to "sense" elements when she is near them. If she were entering a cave, she could sense if there were iron deposits or methane chambers. Helena has also developed a passive resistance to most poisons, diseases, and can heal wounds at an accelerated rate by pacifying the harmful molecules and repairing the broken ones.
Limits-
Relative to both of her abilities, Helena can at any time only being shifting three things at a time.
Stoichokinesis
Helena must have a stable mind in order to concentrate completely on the targets of her ability. The objects she shifts are still subject to the natural laws of bonding and matter. Shifting a gold necklace in the palm of her hand would prove to be a bad, painful idea without proper protection. The length of time and effort it takes to perform a shift depends entirely upon the amount of mass being changed and Helena’s range from the element in question. Turning a glass of water in her hand into solid ice would only take a few seconds, but trying to shift an entire pool into ice would take multiple minutes. She has to at least be aware of what she is shifting in order to manipulate it properly.
Transmutation
While Helena is able to shift any element into any other element, her body is put on a great strain when she shifts elements to other elements of completely different make ups. Shifting a oxygen into hydrogen for example would be as easy as going for a walk, but turning oxygen into an iron-alloy would make it seem as if had just had an excruciating jog. The same feeling of being drained would be further intensified if she shifts severely complicated chemical compounds, such a biological matter. As a result, Helena generally sticks to shifting elements to the same chemical grouping. The speed of the shift is relative to how close in proximity Helena is to the objects she is shifting. If she is standing right next to them, it will take a few seconds to a minute depending upon the amount she is shifting. If he were a field away from something she was shifting, it would take several minutes to half an hour, once again relative to the size of what she is shifting.
Helena's "elemental sense" only is active when is within fifteen yards of the element. She also must be actively looking for elements to shift in order to be able to use the sensing ability. Helena can not regrow limbs or organs if they are removed from her body totally, as she can only repair what is already there. While mostly immune from poison and diseases, it still takes being exposed to them at least once and repeated exposure to be fully immune. If Helena were to ingest a deadly poison for the first time, she would merely take ill instead of being killed, but if it had been multiple times, she'd have no ill effects.
Appearance-
Helena has strawberry blonde/light brown hair that she keeps cut just above or at shoulder length. Her eyes shift colors from green, to hazel, and even blue, though they are green more often than not. She has an almost perfect cupid's brow, which has made her the recipient of many compliments. She is five foot seven inches tall with a very chiseled core from training and work out. She is curvy in all the right place and slender but with toned muscles due to her work outs.
Helena prefers to wear more reserved and professional dress. She likes clothes that fit her figure and augment her body but that do not overly show it off when out in public. Likewise when wearing make up, she often wears little for a natural look while at work, with most people saying she looks like a librarian as a result. When out on dates or in the privacy of her own home, Helena has been known to be a bit more extravagant in her wear, with more rich and bright colors as well as revealing dress.

History-
Helena was born as Inàki Soler to Rafael and Jasmine Soler in the summer of 1987. The two had been trying to have children for over a year and were delighted when Jasmine found out she was pregnant a week before Christmas in 1986. They had waited until Rafael had saved up enough money to buy a home before trying to conceive a child. Once Jasmine knew of her pregnancy, the two planned to provide for the child as much as possible.
Jasmine was an elementary teacher while Rafeael was a minor league baseball player for the Round Rock Express team in Round Rock, Texas. Although he was talented, he never caught the eyes of a professional baseball team recruiter. With his father gone for many months out of the year, Inàki was often left alone with his mother. Whom impressed upon him the value of a quality education. Under her tutelage, Inàki grew to be intelligent and was placed in the gifted and talented program when he entered middle school. Although away often, his father did impress upon his son that a body needed to be fit, taking him to various recreational facilities when he was home.
Through middle school and high school, Inaki excelled in his courses. During one particular project in his junior year of high school, Inaki was deceived and cheated by a fellow student and longtime friend whom took all credit for the effort put into the project. As a result, Inaki grew distrustful about anyone he came into contact with believing that if even a friend could betray him, then he couldn't trust anyone.
After high school, Inaki planned to attend the University of Texas. Delighted with the news, his father, who was now a coach with the Express, decided to come home from his work and take the family out to celebrate. On his way home a> tornado formed outside of Seguin and his father was directly beneath the funnel when the storm formed, tossing his car hundreds of feet away, killing him. Inàki did not take the loss of his father well, refusing to talk for many weeks before packing up for University, wishing his mother well.
The University life had been easy for Inàki to adjust to. Despite qualifying for a rent free dorm, Inàki choose to rent an apartment near the campus. He found a few friends at the Radio Shack he worked at to help pay for his guilty pleasures. The years flew by quickly for him and he soon find himself in his last semester, but needing another science credit to qualify for graduation. As a result, he enrolled in a chemistry class along with his senior seminar.
After Spring Break his chemistry professor decided that the class needed another grade and assigned them a lab about the different states of matter. The assignment was a simple one using liquid water and ice. During the lab, Inàki was growing bored and stared intently at the beaker full of ice. He wanted to be done with this lab so he could head down to the fitness club for a game of racquetball before the afternoon rush. Concentrating on the beaker of ice, his thoughts were solely on it becoming liquid water like the beaker beside it. Amazingly, the ice began to melt until a minute later, it was nothing but water. Freaked out by the occurrence, Inàki headed to his room and hopped on the computer. He decided to do research to figure out if what had happened was normal. The clock on his computer read 3:33 PM Friday April 2, 2010.
A few days later, Inaki and the world, would learn of Specials, and Inaki realized that he was one. Seeking solace, he encountered a biokenitic named Elinor who became his mentor and girlfriend for a short time. It was under her that Inaki first began to explore the feminine feelings he had suppressed for years. The two had a falling out after several antics by the woman drive Inaki apart from her, despite her guidance in his gender issues and how to harness his abilities.
During that time, Inaki befriended Alice Taylor, as well as joined the then covert group of the Company. While not a particular great field agent, he slowly became a good research and support agent. For awhile he and Alice dated but Inaki broke it off after Alice unexpectedly disappeared for a few weeks.
When the Company went public, Inaki remained to stay covert, not wanting his name in the public. Also he began to date Felicia Rahal and was soon married to the woman after a few months of off and on again dating. The two never had a formal wedding, instead using one of the many weird Las Vegas style weddings. However nearly a year later, the pair had fraternal twins, with one boy and one girl.
Both Felicia and her mother encouraged Inaki to embrace whatever role suited him. As a result, he slowly indulged more and more into his feminine feelings, even going so far as to develop small breasts to help breastfeed their children. A chance encounter at a fundraiser in Texas had Inaki bump into a friendly biokenitic, who used her powers at Inaki's behest to permanently change him into Helena. A decision she knew would have consequences, but felt very comfortable with.
Anything else?- Her favorite hobbies are working out, reading, writing songs, and playing chess.
Sample RP-
Helena blushed as Felicia said that she was far too good for her. That was hogwash as far as she was concerned, Felicia was the woman she loved and that was that. This being far too good or not good enough for one another... it just didn't make sense any more. At one time it did, at a time when self confidence and identity were vastly lacking. Now, things were different, and although still lacking for confidence from time to time, their was a self worth of something inside the heart. Which seemed to make all the difference in perception of not only how she saw the world but how the world looked back.
Helena even afforded herself a small laugh as Felicia made her joke about knowing the house better. "We all can't be perfect. If not remembering the exact house layout is your chink in the armor, then it is not so bad." It was a weird way about trying to boost up Felicia's mood and self esteem, but hopefully Felicia would understand the meaning. After as much time as they spent together, even her odd way of stringing thoughts along would have made its way into Felicia's understanding of Helena.
Felicia though seemed... was it nervous? Surely not, it was just a simple dinner between two lovers, what was there really to be nervous about. Helena almost frowned as Felicia admitted as much to being nervous about the dinner, that did put a different light on the events. "You don't have to talk if you don't want to, though I hardly think you could screw it up. We could not have survived nearly two years of marriage if we couldn't talk to one another."
Felicia seemed to study her for a few moments afterwards, though Helena was not sure what she was looking for. Was it a husband that was not there, not in the traditional sense? Was it simply looking at and admiring the person across the table from her, sharing the meal, the evening, and their life? What was it that Felciia saw when she looked into the eyes of her lover? A small, shy smile was all Helena could do to hide the own wondering her mind was doing.
Helena waited for Felicia to make her own bowl of salad before doing the same. However it seemed that there was more on Felicia's mind and she placed her silverware down as she listened to her lover speak. It was a bit of disbelief on her part but there also seemed to be a sort of... sadness in the words. As if Felicia was truly worried that all the oddities of their relationship was going to push Helena away from her.
"I stay because I fell in love with you, for whatever reasons that I may have or had at the time. Are things perfect? Certainly not, nor are they in any way conventional, I'll give you that. I mean, look at me, your supposed husband is sitting across from you looking and acting more a wife than anything else." Nothing about their relationship was what anyone would call normal and at the start of the relationship that bothered her. Now, she had come accustomed to it, it made little difference to her the weirdness that their marriage entailed.
"Maybe I fell in love with you because of how different you are to me. I know that I admire you, in ways, I always have. And though I have certainly had issues with some of your choices, we've worked past them, even if it required a bit of help from Ma from time to time." Yes, there was times she had even been angry enough at Felicia for her choices that she had wanted to leave. That anger passed though, especially when someone like Lida sits you down and tells you what you need to hear even if it is not what you want to hear.
"As much as I protest it, I really don't care about your extra marital affairs. Love is love, sex is sex, they are not one and the same. The fact of the matter is that despite wherever or whoever you get your sexual satisfaction from, it is with me that you have made a home and a family with. While I may not partake in your hedonistic activities, I am not about to throw away our relationship over it."
Reaching across the table, she placed her hand over Felicia's and then laid her head across her arm, keeping her eyes locked on Felicia. "Yes you are hot fucking mess, but you're my hot fucking mess."
