Personality-
Quirky, impatient, and very easily bored, Frank Brewer is always ready to try new and exciting things, ever so vigilant to experiment and discover. Known for adventuring into the unknown, uncovering information, and valiantly trying to piece together the puzzle of life. Irritating once you get him talking and asking questions, he's a very curious and prying individual.
Often times in conversation he tends to ask awkward and even downright rude questions that enter into that gray area of what probably shouldn't be asked or said, his reason? It's hard for him to stop once he's on a roll. Not to say that he's downright careless, no harm is meant, and he certainly tries to adjust his wording to less blunt phrasings when he does overstep the line of proper etiquette. Frank's just an individual who gets carried away with his information gathering at times and can seem like a rude nosy asshole while doing it.
A free-spirited individual, he's rarely been afraid to act out of the social norm. If a situation arises in which Frank's personal philosophy conflicts with a set of rules, in most cases his own rulings will take precedence over written law. For Frank it's important to break rules placed by society in the case that they're flawed. This doesn't mean he goes about blatantly breaking the law, but if something he supports, may it be an illegal act, substance, or viewpoint, which he deems is not directly harmful to others, is not permitted in society, he'll be very likely to continue harboring it, doing his best not to get caught in the process.
Unusual antics are a great source of entertainment for Frank, performing acts which would create such reactions as causing people to frown or smile as they would walk past him on the streets. He is easily amused as well by comedic events, enjoying going to comedy shows, listening and telling jokes, things in the realm of amusement and mischief all please him greatly. Sometimes his antics do overstep into that realm of too much however, just as his curiosity brings him deeper into the rabbit hole, his unusual sense of amusement can send him down into a world of chaos.
With the amount of energy he puts into both intentionally and unintentionally into creating chaos It's a wonder he's not a physically active person. As someone who puts the effort into making the simplest of daily routines enjoyable Frank is certainly a man who extenuates the enjoyment of life. His personal philosophy revolves around cherishing each precious moment of life, and avoiding wasting both time and effort into trying to fit into a norm placed by the general public for the purpose of pleasing them. Scarcely can he be seen in a professional, disciplined, or serious manner, having a far too overwhelming perky, lighthearted front to fake such a attitude. "What's the point of putting on a constipated face, to only bring upon more misery upon one's self".
He's a very strong willed individual when he has something to support and can be difficult to persuade at times, but he's always open to listening to new thoughts and taking them into account as a potential variable. Highly intelligent, he ponders about all the possibilities presented before acting, but as a bit of an impatient man, he tries to reach a conclusion as soon as possible. What he's able to develop before execution, unfortunately often ends up half complete with mistakes being rampant.
Despite failures being a large make up of his life, injuries included, Frank isn't an unthinking individual, just an impatient reckless one at times, and most noteworthy, a dangerously curious one. Frank often sticks to open ended goals, goals capable of changing from an original plan, or goals that can be enacted with little prior planning, even if it means a high chance of failure. Interestingly enough, failing intentionally is an odd quirk of Frank's, he tends to function as such to see what would happen in such a variable, to feed his curious nature.
Likes-
- Orchestra - A lover of almost all kinds of music, both local and international, but he has a special spot for classical & modern orchestra, unfortunately he has little to no musical talent.
- Wine cocktails - A connoisseur of alcoholic beverages at his best, an alcoholic at his worst, he enjoys almost all kinds of alcohol, wine cocktails and fruity tastes as his favorites in this department.
- East Asian cuisine - A fine lover of Asian dishes, tofu and soy based dishes in particular, recipes that can be found in China, Korea, and Japan all send his taste buds flying.
- Role playing games - Frank enjoys the pleasures of being able to experiment with variables without the worry of real life consequences in the form of both electronic and pen and paper role playing games.
- Birds - Even in his youth Frank has always been amazed by the beautiful colors, gift of flight, and soothing cries of avians, to this day he's a diligent bird admirer, he enjoys what birds he can find, may they be common rock doves or the blue-footed booby.
- Unpredictability - Chaos for him is what makes life fun, and is a defining factor to his behavior, personality, and decisions, he enjoys watching things unravel before him, as well as causing mischief and madness around him. It's all in good fun.
- The beach - He loves the sea, the sun, and the refreshing ocean breeze, the relaxing tranquility or the exciting fun seeking of the beach, either way it's extremely difficult for him not to enjoy a trip to the coast.
Dislikes-
- Fish - No it's not the texture of most raw or cooked seafood, but rather the taste, that very present fishy taste that moves him away from most seafood, he occasionally enjoys buttered crustacean however.
- Physical activity - An occasional short game of Frisbee or volleyball is fine and dandy, as long as it stays away from being exhausting or physically straining.
- Overconfident individuals - Cocky, arrogant, self righteous or standoffish individuals are naturally disliked, or hated by Frank and tend to irritate Frank to no ends, he does his best to ignore them if they prove to be unavoidable.
- Bicyclists - Absolutely hates them, possibly due to more than one horrible incident in which Frank was hit by a unsuspecting bicyclist, despite many of these situations occurring due to Frank's decision making, he still harbors a disdain toward cyclists.
- Vanilla - Abhors strong flavors of vanilla, the smell inconveniences his nose as well. He just isn't a vanilla bean person, unless it's very faint such as a hint of it in tea, in which case it can then be pleasantly enjoyable.
- Social norms - The concept of having to conform to normal, that normal is what everyone should strive to be, to be a preconceived image that's painted by society is something that Frank is adamantly against, a colorless bland world where everyone follows the ideal, the way they are recommended to be.
- Children - The vast majority of children tend to irritate Frank, many of the reasons why they irritate Frank could be seen as nonsensical, irrelevant, and irrational, some would even claim that he himself does some of these things he hates. He doesn't hate children so much as he doesn't want to deal with them.
Strengths-
- Intelligent - Despite his frequency in seemingly reckless, pointless, and self-destructive behavior at times, Frank Brewer is an exceptionally intelligent individual. He's a curious, knowledge seeking individual, always ready to absorb new information, whether through experimenting, gathering intelligence, or uncovering hidden information. He thinks through the many possible solutions before selecting a conclusion, which may at times be intentionally flawed.
- Persistent - As someone who takes risks, and bypasses steps to get to his goals, Frank can be a rather determined and difficult person to dissuade from a goal. His determination is a strength due to his capability to adapt plans as well as his willingness to take advice and listen to opposing views, thus using them as fuel to further his own plans and objectives. He's stubborn, but to an open ended goal usually, allowing leeway, adapting to the situation, and to additional factors that may arise.
- Animated - Full of twists and turns, Frank can be an amusing person to be around. His quirky behavior and unusual mannerisms can get out of hand at times, but those with more open minds, enjoy the wild and exciting times with Frank. Those who are easily amused may find pleasure in spending time with Frank for his eccentricities even. He's an animated individual with lots of energy in his personality and mind.
- Honest - Some may see honesty as a form of weakness, especially when you don't hold much back, but when talking to a friend honesty is usually the best policy. Frank prefers to be truthful with the individuals he cares about, telling them what he thinks in as kind a manner as possible, this at times may be more than what some can handle, but he always has the best intentions at hand when talking to a loved one.
- Trusting - With a guileless nature, he tends to put his trust in the people he confides in, in the hopes that they in return will give him honesty. This doesn't mean he's insanely naive, and will often analyze an answer or information that doesn't match up before taking it into account, but other than that he'll listen to someone and trust in individuals who have been deemed trustworthy with the idea that they're being honest to the best of their abilities and have the best intentions for him and those concerned.
Weaknesses-
- Impolite - As someone who often asks personal somewhat rude questions when talking with people, this may in many cases drive people away from associating with Frank. Unintended rudeness in actions such as not looking at someone, or doing something else while talking can also prove to be a major problem when trying to build a relationship. His odd quirks and behavior can also be seen as rude in most social situations, however he very rarely purposefully acts rude to anyone for the intention of hurting them.
- Envious - Frank is one of those people who loves what he's been given in life, but he's also the kind of person who looks at what everyone else has been gifted and wishes he had what they had. May it be an object of great interest to Frank, a job with a significantly higher salary, or a talent/skill he's not gifted with. Frank will likely show signs of covetousness to the individual, tending to bring up the topic of interest multiple times in conversation in certain situations. Although he usually swiftly gets over these bouts of craving others belongings, this trait alongside his impatient, honest, and impolite behavioral traits is a recipe for disaster.
- Impatient - Not one to wait for things, he'll often storm about to get things done when he needs them done, if he needs to plan something out, he'll do so haphazardly to the misfortune of himself and those around him at times. He's not one to wait for things to happen, and will try to find a way around waiting if he can. Although a childishly impatient individual at times, he's not one to pout or whine about something if it's not happening fast enough, no, he'll go and make it happen faster.
- Lazy - Despite his determination and will to get things he needs done as soon as possible, Frank is actually a rather lazy individual. He despises physical labor and activity, and much prefers the comfort of his bed. He'll get things done when they need to be done, but other than that he'd prefer to relax, laze around, and drink to his heart's content. It's this factor that attributes to his weight a bit as he's a bit on the heftier side.
- Unreliable - Not someone you can trust to get mundane things done most of the time, as his laziness and irresponsibility will often overpower his care for what he sees as trivial matters. Although a persistent and hardworking individual with important tasks, he often fails several times before reaching a goal, sometimes just for curiosities sake. Whether it be the task of grocery shopping, or baby sitting, it's sort of a gamble when asking Frank.
Skills-
- Mixology - As Frank's longest held career line, he's gained a vast amount of knowledge in cocktail mixing as a bartender in various cities around North America. He formally received trained as a bartender, attending trade school while in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Frank was able to get down the recipes for a wide variety of drinks, including some of his own concoctions, several of which were merely experimental for his own amusement.
- Flair bartending - Frank in addition to having been a bartender for a long period of time is also a talented flair bartender. He's an exceptionally dextrous person, with great fine motor skills, but his real talent is from having learned the trade from both formal education, as well as from superiors while working at a bars. He's a skilled juggler, and stage magician aside from flair bartending, having trained in many dextrous hand maneuvers/feats of trickery, both from formal training and his own experimentation as a flair bartender.
- American sign language - Having been very close friends with someone who was born mute, Frank at an early age went through the experience of learning how to comprehend and express sign language fluently. Now having had many years of practice alongside both formal and informal training, Frank's capable of utilizing sign language as a second language.
- Graphic Design - Although being Frank's most recent line of employment, it's also a job field he's been working in for quite a while now. He's gained considerable skill as a graphic designer, and has a natural talent for the field, he's also not as technologically challenged as he once thought himself to be, in fact he loves computers now, finding them to be an infinite source of daily pleasures. He's been working freelance, as well as for small and large companies over the years, having built up a small reputation for himself.
Flaws-
- Obesity - Frank is overweight at 247 lbs, severely obese determined by American standards. A social flaw as determined by society's ideal image and a physical one in the decrease in physical capability due to excess amounts of adipose tissue. Frank's not bothered by it one bit though in the social aspect, and with the exception to the lack of stamina at times, the inability to easily perform certain physical actions he doesn't mind most of the physical issues. His obesity is caused primarily by his inactive lifestyle, consumption of large quantities of food, and notable levels of alcoholic beverage consumption.
- Hoarding - Frank has the tendency to hoard his belongings, which to him is debatable as a problem to his lifestyle. He's a generally cleanly person so despite his hoarding, things are usually organized decently enough, so instead of messy piles of stuff, he has neatly organized, categorized, and positioned piles of stuff. It's painful for him to part with his belongings even in the case when he really doesn't need something and all it's doing is taking up space. Also he tends to freak out when other people mess with his hoarded piles of belongings. By freaking out, this translates to smacking guilty individuals with large wooden objects.
- Eccentric Quirks - Many people might have problems with some of Frank's more socially unacceptable behaviors which are chaotically controlled by his desires, personal philosophies, and the limits of his imagination. Doing things such as ordering ice cream cones, then proceeding to smear them across his chest is bound to surprise people, especially people who aren't keen to seeing things out of the ordinary occur. At times he might return home with a couple pigeons, letting them loose in the house for his own odd pleasure. His behavior at times can be maddening and certainly something of a social flaw, as many people would be unable to accept such behavior.
- Alcoholic - A lover of fine alcoholic beverages, but also someone who just can't resist the urge for a drink. He needs, keyword "needs", a drink every so often, very rarely is his household absent of alcoholic beverages, and very often he can be found drunk, or at the least intoxicated. He loves to drink for the social aspect revolving around it when at a bar or with other individuals, or for the process of getting drunk. Even the taste of the different drinks is part of the enjoyment of concocting fun new combinations. Alcohol is a defining factor of Frank Brewer, and he is very much an alcoholic.
Abilities/Powers/Skills-
Energy nexus
Frank's body through his primary ability could be comparable in simple terms to a rechargeable battery capable of absorbing, storing, and supplying physics based energy (e.g. thermal, electrical, chemical, kinetic, and nuclear). Having the capabilities of an energy nexus, Frank is able to instantaneously absorb nearby energy from direct forms of energy, locations with stored/moving energy, which may be energy filled objects, or even living individuals. He is also capable of bestowing such energy through direct physical contact with any one of these. Thus allowing him to absorb electrical energy from an electrical socket, as well as supply energy to objects such as a lamp or even biological lifeforms such as a bunny.
Luckily Frank can avoid overloading himself when absorbing energy and frying everything he inserts energy into by regulating how much energy he's inputting and outputting. The rate of transfer of his energy is neigh immediate, but the amount of absorbed or supplied energy is capped, dictated by Frank's conscious decision making, by setting that maximum to how much energy he'll be absorbing or supplying before using his ability. As for the type of energy he chooses to output, he can't really decide upon that as any energy absorbed is automatically turned into a specific type of energy, which is the only energy he can currently output with his ability. Thus his energy absorption and supplying is a one way funnel outward in a sense.
Versatile energy synthesis
The reason as to why Frank can't decide upon what energy he outputs is that his body automatically converts and stores any raw energy absorbed at a ratio of 1:1 as an innocuous intensely concentrated form of chemical energy. This energy is very unusual in essence, as it mimics the type of energy used to supply whatever object or organism it's within. Such as biochemical energy for a living organism, or electrical energy in the case of a television. The energy also has the unusual properties of existing inertly within an organism in massive quantities without affecting it, although only for a limited period of time however.
After about four hours the chemical energy within an organism begins to gradually become active, changing basically for the organism's metabolic intake. This gradual inert to active energy change occurs at a rate of 3500 kilogram calories worth per minute, which is approximately 1 lb of body fat if left in excess. This energy is metabolized and used immediately by the body it becomes active in, either being used to fuel and basically feed the energy intake of the living organism, or be turned into excess energy which is then turned into fat in the case of humans and other animals.
Limits-
Energy nexus
As more of an energy funnel, than an energy conduit, all energy absorbed is turned into a single type of energy automatically without Frank's consent. This proves to be a limitation, although he can absorb and supply any form of energy, he can only supply one form of energy as he doesn't have the ability to stop the automatic conversion, or convert the chemical energy to another kind of energy. Although the energy has its own natural adaption capabilities, he can't use it for anything other than supplying energy, and he can only supply such energy through direct physical contact with whatever he's supplying.
Frank is also not immune to the raw energy he absorbs, in the case of absorbing and converting the raw energy as the chemical energy. This means he can still be harmed if not consciously absorbing the energy with his powers. The processes of his powers are a conscious decision, as such the ability is an active one that requires his awareness to perform, thus a roaring flame on his leg while unconscious will not be absorbed, nor an unsuspecting electrical shock, unless he's actively deciding to absorb that energy. Frank is also fully susceptible and unable to absorb psionic energy based attacks, life force energy based attacks, and things outside the realms of standard physics based energies.
When supplying energy it cannot be fired out as a projectile of any form as it is on a touch to touch basis, even so with his current ability capabilities cannot supply any form of energy other than the sustaining chemical energy which is benign in nature until active. As for the description of direct physical contact for supplying, this means body to body contact in organic life, so it does not transfer through gloves, clothing, etc. As for the absorption of energy, it is limited to a close proximity to Frank, meaning approximately three feet away at most.
Versatile energy synthesis
There's a maximum amount of this unique sustaining chemical energy that his body can hold at any given time without immense danger of overloading. Overloading would in turn lead to a graphic and messy explosion of energy and body bits. Frank is just as susceptible as any other normal individual to overloading with energy and exploding, despite being the nexus of transforming absorbed raw energy into this more easily usable and storable form. The human body can hold approximately 26,250,000 kilogram calories of this concentrated chemical energy before starting to glow a bright lime green, a significant additional amount of energy once at this point will cause an overload of the human body.
Frank is susceptible to his energy as much as everyone else is, and so gaining fatal amounts of weight from the chemical energy is something that might happen if it is left in massive quantities to go into the active state while within his body. In addition if this energy is used as a source of sustenance in biological organisms it does not account for basic nutrients needed to nourish a body. The energy is in nature just a fueling source for whatever it is present in, be it a lamp, or human body.
Appearance-
Sporting a genuine smile in almost all situations, Frank appears as a notably jolly individual, full of life, love, and buttered lobster. With an explosive aura of excitement and fun about him one can easy single him out in a crowd of monotonous and boring businessmen. Just by his appearance alone, one can get the general idea of the type of person he is, unintentionally defying the rules of not judging a book by its cover. The process of cheerfully striding along everywhere is a hint to the kind of person Frank is, giving way that he's joyously enjoying his day despite whatever issues might come his way.
"I'm not fat, I'm just a little husky!" Frank would claim, weighing in at 247 lbs and reaching 5'8" in height. He would be classified as overweight, and upon seeing his physical appearance it can be agreed that he is indeed overweight. The vast majority of his excess body fat is centered around his abdomen, giving his mid section the commonly known name of a beer belly. His body fat distribution and curves classify him as being apple shaped, but he disagrees with this categorization, not seeing his body as relative to fruit. Decent in terms of height with some extra bulk, beyond the notable mid section his weight is well distributed amongst his body, not really striking out to those just getting a quick glance.
With a full prominent beard and a head stocked with pretty brown curls Frank is relieved and happy to continue to sport hair on his head. He takes fairly good care of his beard and hair, avoiding dyes, bleaching it, and altering it, keeping it natural and clean, shaving and cutting his hair occasionally to keep them generally the same as time goes on. A striking feature on Frank's face that is in no way related to his beard or hair are his eyes, Frank sports a beautiful pair of gray blue gazers. Upon looking into his eyes one can see that they are full of spirit and childish adventure. When reading Frank sports a set of rimless reading glasses, but otherwise his vision isn't all too bad.
Frank's taste in clothing revolves around a very casual comfortable style, he doesn't dress to impress, but rather for ease on the body and the eyes. T-shirts and button up shirts, simple and relaxing slacks for his legs. As a casual dresser, there isn't too much nitpicking in what to wear for the day, ordinary patterns for the button ups and occasionally interesting designs for the t-shirts, plain and earthy tones for the pants. For formal occasions a suit or snazzy tux might come out of his piles of stuff if he cares enough to dress nicely. As for footwear, simple and comfortable once again, flip flops, sandals, or sneakers when things get chilly. There's not much to say about his apparel, except that he's a rather laid back dresser.

History-
Despite Frank Brewer's present day eccentric nature and exciting antics he's led a fairly unexciting past. Born 1974, November 8th as the first child of Jennifer and James Brewer, his early childhood was fairly standard with only the occasional unusual call from school. He wasn't much of a trouble maker as a young child interestingly enough, but rather a creative and expressive individual, who was quite talented artistically. Unfortunately he never did go beyond simple artistic talent, not finding that proper motivation in his early childhood. As for the quaint calls involving Frank in his earlier years, they were little more than, "your child might get sick from spending too much time around the pigeons during recess" or "please try to stop your son from bringing in dead animals for show and tell".
As time passed he wasn't a single child anymore, having gained a younger sister by the age of five, the two never grew on each other, even more so as she grew to be their mother's favorite of the two. Frank showed signs of intelligence from an early age, but it was Rachel that shined when it came to putting a front with academics, social standing in school, and extracurricular activities, her arrogant nature didn't help their brother sister bonding either. Frank didn't let his jealousy get in the way though and merely went on with his teen years ignorant of the fact that they were siblings.
Frank didn't have many friends from elementary to high school, but he did cherish the relationships and bonds he'd been able to create during those years, forming strong friendships with those he did befriend. It was during the later parts of his childhood that he started developing more chaotic and problematic behaviors, which were not only concerning for Frank's health, but the stress of his teachers. It was also during this time period that he started showing signs of alcoholism. He wasn't a bad student however, and put the effort into graduating high school with fairly good grades, even getting letters of recommendation to colleges from his more open minded teachers. Ultimately though he was adamantly against going on to college.
In the end he ended up going to Florida State University for several semesters at the bequest of his parents and his best friend Lenny Williams. While a student at Florida State University, he majored in pharmacy, but was never really able to push his feet in the right direction. He worked hard when he put in the effort to study, getting things done intermittently, but in the end he dropped out without receiving his Bachelors. His father for the most part had been paying for his education and was infuriated upon discovering what had happened. At this point in Frank's life he didn't care to stay in Florida with his family and moved in with a friend in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
It started out fine for Frank, rooming with a close friend of his as he searched for work. Frank on several occasions was able to find work, but he also had the tendency to either get fired, or quit rather than sticking with a job for any extended period of time. Eventually he was recommended by his friend Lenny to look into trade school. Frank eventually settled with getting training as a Bartender and set off for trade school. He ended up loving the career and put the time and effort to learn what was necessary for his career. He was even able to get a job as a bartender within Atlantic City in close proximity to Lenny's abode. He held this specific job for a while, until he was finally fired for his behavior.
Upon being fired he moved out from Lenny's home, finding a suitable replacement to room with him before doing so, he also was able to find another job out of state, moving to this new location almost immediately. Once there he worked as a bartender for a limited time before once again getting fired for his behavior toward customers and other staff. It was at this point that he had nowhere to go, was penniless, and homeless, he wandered about the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana for quite sometime before mustering the funds and means to get to Orchid, Florida.
Frank returned to his hometown by February 27th 2004, in which he moved in with his parents for a limited time, he didn't stay for long however and once he got back on his feet, he moved out once more. He proceeded by moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, in which he was able to get a job as a bartender once more, he once again tarnished his reputation unfortunately, getting fired within a little over two years. By this point he decided to take a new approach to the job market, finding a way to get a job as a graphic designer, with time he was able to gain experience as well as build up a reputation, he also had a natural knack for the career. In time he had enough of a reputation to have a stable job as a freelancer in graphic design, he now travels around the country, working as a freelance graphic designer to this day, visiting exciting new locations for new work when he has the cash to jump to a new location.
Anything else?- His abilities have yet to manifest, but will be activating in the near future, possibly in a thread or two.
Sample RP-
Eating stale crackers and drinking a glass of Scarlett O'Hara, while playing MMORPGs in the drab darkness of his apartment was usually the simple, no effort answer to Frank's urges in amusing himself. Tonight however he hungered for something far more fulfilling than destroying blurry digital mushroom men. Upon a simple whim he felt it'd be interesting to wander about the tranquil apartment complex, pouring a trail of syrup as he wandered, to observe the reactions of the other tenants by morning.
To fulfill his urge, he decided he'd proceed with the plan, indifferent to what consequences might arise from such actions. Doing such an act stealthily was an art though, and with it he took careful consideration in being undiscovered in his shenanigans.
Grabbing his bathrobe, and a blue ribboned wide brimmed hat Frank set out for adventure at 2:00 am. A bottle of Aunt Jemima's country rich syrup in his grasp as he headed toward the central walkway of the ground floor of the complex. No one was in sight, nor had anyone caught him exiting his room. Lucky for him! Regardless he did what he could to travel silently and without a trace as he examined the tiled floor beneath him. A brilliant scheme popped into his noggin and soon enough he changed his plans to pouring the syrup into an actual design.
Within minutes the face of a long dead woman was painted upon the dingy ground floor of the complex, a wide smile on Frank's face as he looked upon his masterpiece. Someone would be bound to recognize the cheerful African American woman's face in sticky sugary goodness before a janitor was sent to clean up the mess, if not Frank was still proud of his wondrous work of art. It was due time he headed back to his apartment however, so he proceeded back to his room, a proud smile painted on his face.
Frank went back to his exploding mushroom adventure on the computer monitor as he impatiently awaited for something to occur outside. Something was bound to have happened by now he thought to himself, yet oddly nothing. His eagerness for something to occur sparked him into examining the display himself. Upon returning to the scene of his crime he saw nothing changed and pondered a way to create a more interesting caper.
"Pancake sacrament!" he said with a good degree of enthusiasm as he planned the next step of this Aunt Jemima syrup mystery. So enthused and focused on his little scheme Frank was unable to pay attention to how loudly he'd yelled the words in the walkway, little did it matter to him however as he rushed back into his apartment room, preparing to create a ritualistic circle to Aunt Jemima in syrup, incense sticks, and pancake batter.
