In the early hours of Tuesday morning 911 received a call from a witness claiming to have seen her neighbour being taken captive from her home in a small Manhattan neighbourhood. The young woman, Elinor Gudfred was reported to have been resting up for the night when two people broke into her home and took her captive.
Police investigated the scene but found no evidence that could point them toward a lead. The NYPD are doing door to door enquiries hoping to uncover a potential lead. The whereabouts of Miss Gudfred are currently still unknown. Police are doing everything they can to find the people responsible for this crime but as of right now are no closer to finding a lead.
Miss Gudfred was described by her neighbours as a very private woman but a seemingly warm individual. It is thought that she had no known enemies to speak of. Police are asking for any other witnesses to come forward or if anyone has any information that they consider valuable, to contact police immediately.
