Personality-
Miranda is a lovable girl, she cares about others, especially when they care about her. She loves her friends and always likes being with them. Although she loves to be around her friends, she can be found home a lot of the time, because she likes her quiet, and her time to think. She’s a very curious girl, and although she’s not the nosiest girl in the world, she still loves to know what’s going on with everyone else because she feels knowledge is power. She’s a secret keeper, everyone goes to Miranda when they need help, advise, or just to talk, mainly because she’s a great listener and very loyal. Sometimes she gets lost in her own little world, also called her mind. When she feels her mind is clouded, that’s usually when you’ll see her writing, that’s just how she expresses herself most of the time. She is also tough as nails, and can kick the most fearsome of asses.
Miranda not very conceded at all, she never really thinks of herself as a very attractive person, in fact, she denies it some of the time. When she looks at herself she just sees an average girl, she thinks she’s normal looking, not all that pretty, but not all that ugly either. Miranda is also very open minded, she is always open to try new things, go new places, but usually she’s a rule follower, she has a pretty overwhelming conscious that sounds a lot like her mother, telling what to do, and not what to do. But as the time goes on, it’s starting to sound more and more like herself. Being such an over thinker, Miranda always thinks twice before doing or saying something, especially if it sounds dangerous in action or hurtful to somebody else.
Miranda is also very bright. She is naturally smart, usually she is the type who doesn’t even need to study for a text because she’ll remember anything she knows that she needs to remember. Because she is smart, she’s always the type to put in her two cents. She’s also very good at debating. When it comes to a strong topic that she has a strong opinion about, then she can rant about it until she proves whatever idea she has. She doesn’t give up easily. Miranda is the type to keep trying and pushing herself no matter what the cost. She doesn’t give into bribery or anything like that because she has a lot of pride. She likes to be right, which is probably why Miranda Levesque is so opinionated. If she hears a statement that is wrong or somebody that doesn’t know what they are talking about, then she corrects them. Also, she is very blunt with people, even if they are a stranger.
When she’s happy or excited, she doesn’t freak out and scream and jump around like other preppy girls. When she is happy or excited, Miranda keeps its to herself and smiles a certain smile that she only gets when she’s really happy about something. She doesn't like bragging about things, but she will talk about it, if she’s asked. When Miranda is angry about something, she hides her problems She’s not the type to keep to herself about things that involves her friends, but when it comes to herself, she can be distant. Also, when she is upset, she tries her best to distance herself from everyone and keep it in, she’s very complicated and different depending on her emotions from keeping in her happiness to ranting about her anger.
Because Miranda is so opinionated, she is also quite outspoken. When she has something on her mind that she needs to get out, she just comes out and says it even if somebody is still talking. She doesn’t like to lose her ideas back into her mind, so she gets them out while she can. She is an over thinker. She could take the most simple idea, such as her sister being sick, and think the worst, as if there is something terribly wrong or it could be serious. Miranda can be bossy at times. She likes to have things done, and when things don’t get done when she first asks then she starts demanding people. She’s a girl who likes things done her way, and she will get pretty annoyed when she doesn’t get what she wants. She doesn’t like seeing people goofing off when there is work to be done, and she will say something about it when the situation demands it.
Stubbornness. That is probably one of Miranda’s biggest flaws. You can pester her and pester her to do something, but if she doesn’t like it, then she’ll refuse. She never comes by this problem at work, for there is usually nothing she won’t do for her job. But when it comes to more personal matters or favors that somebody wants done, then she won’t do them. She tries to avoid things she doesn’t like to and always uses work as in excuse, when really it never is. She likes her work, and she is very dedicated to it. Sometimes it comes across that she cares more about her job than her family, but that’s just because it’s a good distraction for her. She like to help people through her work, which is why she chose this path.

Abilities/Powers/Skills-
Mind Manipulation- Miranda has the primary ability to control the functions of the mind, using her own. With her power so can control the thoughts, mindsets, and upper brain functions of others. She can do a wide range of things using her powers, like being able to render others unconscious just with her own mind. She can increase and decrease mental capacity of others and can also make others agreeable. She can modify the part of their brain and force them to only speak the truth or listen to her as she concentrates hard enough. Miranda can even give other’s mental disorders or help suppress them. Also, with her power, Miranda gives off a signal that negates other mental abilities around her. She can also alter one’s perception and can cause others to become confused just by thinking about it.
Mnemokinesis- Miranda has the secondary ability to control the memories of others. With this power so can control as well as modify, fabricate, suppress, influence, repair, restore, erase, detect, and view mental memories of anyone she comes into contact with. Miranda can change memories to confuse others, wipe away certain memories to cause amnesia, discern and provoke nostalgia, and enter the victim into a sort of vision replaying the memory. She could even suppress her own memories, but once she does it to herself, she has no way of getting it back unless she met another with the same power as her. It started off with only being able to visually see the memories of others when she touched another person, but later as she gained control she could do a whole lot more.
Limits-
Mind Manipulation- With her powers, Miranda can control the functions of the brain. She is able to do this at a distance for some things that don’t require as much effort, but for something that takes more effort, she needs to be touching her subject. Her bond with another mind is at it’s strongest when she is physically touching somebody else. She can cause people around her to get headaches or migraines from a far, but she wouldn’t be able to render them unconscious until she actually got closer or is touching them. Although she can control one’s brain functions, she cannot learn what they are think or control their actions directly. She is not able to use her powers through the walls, she has to be able to see her subject visually.
Mnemokinesis- The only way Miranda can get her power to work is if she is touching another person. She is only able to manipulate the memories that she can view, and then change them by picturing what she wants to happen in her mind. Some people have suppressed memories, and Miranda has the power to reveal them if she digs deep enough inside a subjects mind. It’s most common for her to see the memories of somebody is the person she is touching is thinking about that particular memory. It takes longer for Miranda to dig into one’s mind to find hidden or suppressed memories that they might have forgot about. With her ability, she is also able to wipe out somebody’s memories completely. If she came into contact with somebody with amnesia, she could easily restore all the memories they previously had before.
Appearance-
Miranda is only twenty three years old but still has the appearance of a teenager. She is five feet, four inches. She has dark, almost tanned skin that she gets from her mother’s side of the family but she gets her hazel eyes from her father. Her hair is long and rave black. It goes far past her shoulders and almost reaches her elbows. She usually always wears her hair down, but it’s only when she’s doing something physical is when she puts it up in a ponytail. She has nice, thin lips that also show off her beautiful smile that will light up a room. It’s infectious, as most people say. She has a natural beauty, so she doesn’t require much of any makeup to make her self look any more beautiful than she already is.
She usually dresses well, she knows how to wear what makes her look good. She doesn’t much care what other people think of her. She never did and wasn’t going to start now. Still, she does where what she finds cute. She isn’t one for wearing a lot of jewelry. She has her pierced ears and a ring that she got from her grandmother when she moved to San Diego. Other than that, she only wears a charm bracelet that she got from her sister when she graduated from high school. She always wears it when she goes out. She likes to wear jeans and nice shirts. Her closet has a cast majority of different clothes and she usually only wears depending on where she’s going and what she feels like. She shops from all different kinds of stores, but she likes to wear clothes that is easy to move around in. She doesn’t like tight clothes as much, unless she has to go out and wear something fancy.

History-
Miranda and her twin sister were born in Boston, but a lot more happened in their family before that. Miranda’s mother was born during the time of the Vietnam War. She didn’t like her home country and when she got old enough she got out of there as soon as she could and made her way over to America to live. She was the baby of the family and nobody thought she was going to be able to do it. She went to Boston to attend Boston University, because she was quite smart. When she was in college, soon after she met her future husband and father of her children, Robert Levesque. They had an instant connection, but Angelique was afraid to get serious because she didn’t think her parents would approve of the man she was dating, but she continued to see them anyways, knowing it might be awhile until they could a chance. One they did meet him, they loved him, and they got married. A few years later they had twin girls; Miranda and Tiffany.
Having a twin sister had its perks and it’s down sides. Both the girls pretty much shared everything and a always saw each other. When they were toddlers they were always playing together, but as they got older that changed slowly. The twins eventually got sick of having to share everything and they start to grow increasingly picky about it. They would make a big deal if one got more ice cream than another, or one got a present that was bigger than the other. It was just ridiculous things like that they fought over because they were twins who had to grow up sharing everything and just wanted stuff for their own. When the girls were four years old, along came their little brother Shiloh. Now they had one more member of the family to preoccupy their time with. Of course, a baby brother was just something else to fight over. Their childhood was a hectic one.
Before she knew it, Miranda was off to school where she made quite the name for herself. She was the sweet, kindhearted, helpful, not to mention intelligent girl of the class. She might have been small, but she always seemed to be one step ahead of her class academically. She didn’t notice just how smart she was, but her teacher certainly did. Her sister was normal in the way she didn’t care as much about learning and just wanted to have some fun. Miranda wasn’t much like that at all. It was school, and she was excited to be there and made the best out of it. She also had very nice handwriting and caught it quickly. She was even the first one of her class to learn to tie her own shoes. Yes, Miranda was the independent one. Nobody ever had to tell her to do something, because she always did what she had to do before her teachers could even ask. She went far, especially for elementary school.
When Miranda was nine years old, something horrible happened to her and her family. It was a complete accident that nobody saw coming. Nobody knew there was an electrical problem in the house before it was too late. Faulty wiring that was never look at properly be an electricitian quickly turned into a fire in their home. It didn’t take long for Angelique to realize what was going on and she got Tiffany and Shiloh out of the house, but Miranda was stuck upstairs, since Tiffany had started the fire right at the end of the staircase. When she tried to come down it was already spreading and blocking off the stairs. She waited and watched spread and the fire department tried to help her. Once everything started to break down around her, that is when things got messy.
She could barely breath, the fire was getting closer and the ceiling started to cave in until she tried to run for her room and a columns came down and hit her in the arm, which also burned her as she tried to get off. Finally, the firefighters got in through her bedroom window and they carried her out to safety. She was never the same after that, she had to stay in the hospital for a few days for observation and then before she knew it, her family was moving to San Digo, California. Until they could find a place of their own again, they had to live with Miranda’s uncle Pete. Everything changed for Miranda and her family after that. Lucky enough Miranda’s uncle got her father a good job along with him and her mother got a nursing job at the local hospital as a night nurse. Changing schools was not easy for Miranda, but at least she had her sister by her side. New York was much different than Boston. But, at least she made some new friends, not to mention a new ability to control and manipulate people’s brains.
She first learned about it when her sister had a migraine and she tried to message her head, but instead she somehow found herself control the functions of Tiffany's brains and made the pain stop. She also learned that she could do other things with her powers too, including making her younger brother agreeable to everything she asked him to do for awhile. That was until she realized she should be using her powers for good and not evil. After discovering her powers, she decided to volunteer at an elderly home. She took care of the old people there, including her grandfather. He had Alzheimer's and she used her powers to help clear his mind of the mental disorder. After that he could remember things just as anyone else could. It felt great helping somebody with her power. She knew that through her new found powers she could make a real difference in the world.
Miranda made herself one best friend while she was creating herself a new life. She was very smart and had a lot of the same qualities as she did. Her new friend had dreams of becoming a famous scientist and Miranda had dreams of becoming a world known doctor. Together they made quite the team and it didn’t take log for them to click at all. As the years went on, not much of anything exciting happened to her until she was finally off to high school. She stuck with her best friend and joined the mathletes and school counsel. She didn’t see much of Tiffany in school because she was in AP classes. Her twin sister became a cheerleader and one of the popular girls. Miranda was one of the smart girls that helped by tutors, but she wasn’t exactly one of the geeks because of her natural beauty. Tiffany’s friends actually liked her because she was pretty and smart. She only told her family that she was special and had a power, and ironically, she learned it ran in the family.
Tiffany’s friends tried to set Miranda up with one of the jocks who needed help to stay on the team. So, of course she obliged and did her best to help him pass his midterm. After she succeeded, he asked her out to this party as his date. She was surprised, but she still said yes. Her best friend thought it was a bad idea because of the rumors going around school about him raping other girl, but she didn’t bother listening to adolescent gossip. She went to the party and had a good time until the jock tried to move to fast. She told him no, but of course did not listen and tried to force himself on her. That’s when she saw his memories, how he raped other girls. That’s when she realized she could manipulate memories, as well. Luckily for her, Tiffany walked by and saw what was going on and broke a vase over his head to knock him out. They left right after that and Miranda stayed clear away from high school parties that involved any types of jocks.
Before she knew it, she was graduating high school as Valedictorian. It was a close tie to her best friend, but she managed to get one grade letter high on a test that put her in the clear for the title. She wrapped up her high school years and headed off to college where she was learning social services. She wanted to be a social worker to mentally sick and addicted people. She was very close with her grandmother on her father’s side of the family that also lived in San Francisco, in a retirement home. It was four long years of college for her. It wasn’t as bad as she thought, but after all, she did have a photographic memory. That helped her in most cases. She did good, got her degree and before she knew it she was off in the real world.
Tiffany was still living in San Diego and had a job as a secretary at the retirement home where her grandfather was living and she is also working there as well. When April Fourth came around, Miranda's apartment complex was destroyed and unlivable. So, she moved in with Tiffany, thankful she wasn't home during the event or she would probably be dead. She is still working at the retirement home with her sister, keeping a close eye on her grandfather.

Sample RP-
It was like it just happened yesterday. Miranda was up in her room, doing a puzzle with her dolls sitting up around her, as if they were helping her. She putting the pieces together, flipping them all up to their colored sides so she can try to find some matches. She had only looked at the cover once, but that was all she needed to see. She could picture it clearly in her mind as she started putting all the puzzle pieces together. She had a few matched up, all scattered on the table. One more piece and she could fit two large parts together. “Now we are getting somewhere.” She said with a proud grin, looking over at her dolls.
Then she smelled something. Something bad. She got up and walked over to her room, opening the door. She peeked out and saw that there was smoke coming from the hallway. “Miranda!” She heard her mother’s voice crying for her.
She gasped, quickly she ran to the hallway and toward the staircase. She saw the fire around the end of the staircase, all around the edge. The smoke was overbearing, and she couldn’t help but couch. “Mommy! Where are you!?” She called out. Little did she know, the firefighters wouldn’t let her mother back inside. She tried to run down the stairs, hoping to get to the first floor before the fire go to her. She saw a figure as she reached the bottom of the staircase, waving at her. “No, stop!” They shouted. She heard the creaking above her, she stopped, looking up. That’s when it broke. It came down on top of her, and she tried to her to best to get out of the way, but she got hit in the shoulder. She was burned, her shoulder hurt, but at lease she didn’t get crushed. She climbed back up to the top of the stairs and down the hall, holding onto her shoulder as she found her room. She slammed the door, crying. She heard the voices from outside, everyone was hysterical.
She backed up in the corner of the room, it was full of smoke and the fire was still spreading. She slid down to the floor and brought her knees up to her chest. She cried, wanted to get out, afraid she wasn’t. “Mommy!” She shouted. And then it all went black. She then opened her eyes and she was back in her bed. She sat up in her bed of her San Diego apartment. She was covered in sweat, which she wiped off her forehead and could feel under the covers. She ripped her covers off and swung her legs over the edge of her bed as she took a deep breath.
It wasn’t just a dream. It happened. But why was it haunting her now?
She got out of her bed, only the moonlight from outside her window lit up her room faintly. She walked over to the door and opened it. Rubbing her eyes, she walked off to the hall and went down into the kitchen where she found her twin sister sitting at the table, eating cereal. “What time is it?” Miranda asked as she ran a hand through her hair and went over to sit across from her. Tiffany looked over at the clock as she finished chewing and swallowed her applejacks. “It’s like four thirty. You have a bad dream, too?” She asked Miranda, looking over at her, curiously. She turned over at Tiffany, blinking a few time in attempts to adjust to the brighter lights of the kitchen. “How did you know?” She asked as she started to twirl her hair around her finger.
She had taken another bite of her cereal when Miranda asked and waited to swallow before answering. “Because I did too, twin.” Tiffany said with a smirk. Miranda shrugged. She smiled too as she sat back in her seat and ran her hands through her hair. “No surprises there.” She said as she furrowed her brow. Those two twins somehow always had bad dreams at the same time.
