The Ark Industries board of directors is a collective body of peers comprised exclusively and entirely of the corporation’s original founders and owners; Doctor Neville Reeves, Jacqueline Faiblesse, Oliver Hamilton, Esther Whidbee, and an undisclosed number of partners and major investors. They are the organization’s highest ruling body, tasked with overseeing all activities of and establishing new policies for Ark Industries on a global scale, as well as providing the financial resources required to keep the enterprise running. Many of the members of the board of directors choose by self-initiative to oversee the corporation’s special projects and interests overseas in lieu of the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who runs the company from its Los Angeles home-office.
The board of directors has the power to appoint the Chief Executive Officer from its own collectivity as well as replace them if the situation arises where a new individual is required to manage the company; otherwise, a new CEO is elected ordinarily for three-year cycles.
After the departure of former CEO Noah Rydberg, Ark became the target of a successful hostile takeover by the Kilvayne Corporation, at which point Lucius Kilvayne and Gabriel Constant assumed control. The board of directors remains in place, albeit with questionable effectiveness. Additionally, a new CEO was appointed, and Ark was folded into the greater Kilvayne holdings.
At present, the Chief Executive Officer of Ark Industries is Christian Moynahan.
:: The Head Staff
The Head Staff of Ark Industries is the corporation’s main executive and administrative body, jointly appointed and overseen by the board of directors, presided by the CEO, and comprised of the heads of all the different departments and divisions that form Ark Industries. While the Head Staff occasionally holds joint meetings, it is most commonly divided into the Administrative Committee and the Projects Committee.
:: The Administrative Committee
The Administrative Committee is formed by the Head of Infrastructure, charged with overseeing the departments of Land Acquisition, Construction, Maintenance and Human Resources, and the Head of Finances, who presides over the Accounting, Payroll and Investments divisions, and they are sometimes joined by the Head of Legal Affairs; they’re tasked with the basic running of Ark Industries’ logistical aspects, deciding on and enforcing the company’s basic internal functioning policies and bylaws, and setting up and maintaining the resources necessary for the running of the corporation’s many projects.
Note: This entire portion of Ark Industries is NPC-Run.
:: The Projects Committee
The Projects Committee is comprised of the chiefs of the three great divisions that run the bulk of Ark Industries’ many projects, charged with the research, discovery, creation and implementation of new technologies, which is the corporation’s ultimate goal. Sitting on this committee are the Head of the Military Projects Division, the Chief of the Biomedical Research Division, and the Leader of the Special Projects Division, and occasionally they are joined by the Chief of Public Affairs, tasked with managing the company's public image, and a government representative in charge of overseeing all DOD-funded projects on behalf of the United States.The current Head of Finance is Alice Taylor.
The current Chief of Public Affairs is Fallon Daugherty.
The current Government Liaison is Drew Moynahan.
:: Military Projects Division
As the name so aptly indicates, the Military Projects Division is the portion of Ark Industries tasked with the creation, development, and testing of new technologies with military purposes. The majority if not the entirety of the funds the corporation receives from the government goes toward this division and its subdivisions, though by no means that is to say that this is Ark Industries’ best-funded program, as this influx of public resources allows for a redirection of the corporations private funds toward their remaining divisions.
The Head of Military Projects is Keane Wright.
At present, this division has two subdivisions, as follows:
- Defense Subdivision: The Defense Subdivision, a shortening of Defense Contract Subdivision, is tasked exclusively with the research and manufacturing of new technologies funded by the DOD that are to be used by the government’s many agencies. All the technology currently set in place to aid in the enforcement of the Registration Law has been developed by this subdivision.
- Security Subdivision: The Security Subdivision is primarily in charge of testing and developing application techniques for all the technology created by the Defense Subdivision. With this purpose in mind, they also act as Ark Industries’ private security operations command. No one has greater knowledge of the weapons and containment devices developed by Ark Industries than the Security Subdivision, and it is them who educate the many government agencies on the proper use of this technology.
The head of the Security Subdivision is Fiona Kingsleigh.
:: Biomedical Research Division
The Biomedical Research Division is partially responsible for the creation of Ark Industries’ most renowned invention to date, the April Fourth Power Machine. They are mainly charged with oversight and running of research projects aimed at improving today’s medical knowledge, as well as developing applications for the research already undergone. A great deal of genetic research currently funded by the government is currently carried out by this division, though the bulk of their operations is financed by Ark Industries’ private resources.
The Chief of Biomedical Research is Christian Moynahan.
Currently, the Biomedical Research Division runs two subdivisions as one service:
- Bioengineering Subdivision: The bioengineering subdivision is tasked not only with performing a great deal of biomedical research, but also with developing practical applications for it, such as the creation of medical prosthetics, genetic modifications applied to industrial-level manufacturing of goods such as food, and the creation of cutting-edge medical treatments to address a plethora of health conditions. A great deal of private funds is directed at this area.
The head of the Bioengineering Subdivision is Sarah Murphy.- Genetic Research Subdivision: The Genetic Research Subdivision is charged, as the name implies, with carrying out all of the company’s genetic studies. While regularly this subdivision is privately funded, at present it has been injected a large portion of government capital for the purposes of focusing all efforts on research regarding the genetics of Evolved Humans. This subdivision is, however, also tasked with the creation of things such as genetically-oriented treatments for medical conditions.
The head of the Genetic Research Subdivision is Teagan Swift.
Aside from these two subdivisions, the Biomedical Research Division also runs Ark Industries’ internal Medical Service, with acts as the corporation’s own subsidiary Health Insurance company, offering their all their employees free, privately-funded healthcare, often making use of their very own discoveries and technologies in their treatments to better address the ailments of their personnel.
:: Special Projects Division
The Special Projects Division is in charge of the oversight of the corporation’s development of new technologies that are not part of the Biomedical or Military areas; in other words, this division is completely run through private funds, and only Ark Industries’ own personnel and staff has access to the many projects it runs. Basic tools and implements used by the Military and Biomedical Divisions are created by the Special projects Divisions, which means they provide them with the infrastructure that their research requires. At the same time, they are also in charge of the development and manufacturing of all other technologies that Ark Industries currently offers to the general public and other corporations, making it their main source of income.
The Special Projects Division is led by Zack King.
Currently, the Special Projects Division holds three subdivisions:
- Applied Sciences Subdivision: The Applied Sciences subdivision produces all basic research that every other Division and subdivision in the corporation’s Projects Area requires for their operations; a great deal of resources is poured into this subdivision constantly with the purpose of perpetuating all manners of research into areas such as psychics, chemistry, biology, metallurgy and both general and specialized engineering. It is this subdivision that puts Ark Industries on the cutting edge of technology.
The head of the Applied Sciences Subdivision is Archie Cane.- Prototype Development Subdivision: All the basic research and discoveries made by the Applied Sciences subdivision are taken by the Prototype Development subdivision and made into practical applications such as new devices to be used in different areas of life. As of today, they have created and patented devices in the areas of Construction, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Toys, Cosmetics, Textiles, Automotive, Robotics and basic Industrial Manufacturing of various goods, as well as several others.
The head of Prototype Development is Alain Janssen (NPC).- Industrial Applications Subdivision: When Prototype Development creates a new, commercially viable prototype of any kind, it is sent to the Industrial Applications Division to be mass produced. Ark Industries’ very own factory floor and test sites are run by the Industrial Applications subdivision, tasked with the large scale production and distribution of the corporation’s various patented products that are to be released to the general market for the public to acquire.
This portion of Ark's operations is outsourced to its parent company, the Kilvayne Corporation.
