API- Last night at around 11 PM. Police responded to an anonymous 911 call of shots being fired that led them to a brownstone apartment building in Grand Army Plaza where they found the body of one Farrold Devins, aged 42, (shown in the photo above) laying dead on the living room floor of his rented room. The body had apparently suffered severe blunt trauma on the chest, face and back resulting in massive damage to the skeletal system and much of the major organs which of course killed him.
No further evidence can be revealed until the official postmortem can be finished.
Devins who had a criminal record of the possession and sales of crystal meth and other narcotics and served eight years on Interstate drug trafficking; had many enemies. However it was reported by investigators that though the place was a shambles, nothing appeared to be stolen and there was no signs of forced entry. At least $10,000 dollars worth of drugs and $5,000 more in unmarked bills were found untouched.
An glock pistol was found several feet away from the victim, its clip completely emptied.
In another odd wrinkle in the case, Police had arrested one Jack Murdock less than a half an hour after the murder. He was caught fleeing the scene of the crime by no more than four witnesses shortly before the 911 call.
Jack Murdock (pictured above) is an auto mechanic from Bay Ridge and has no previous criminal record. Police spokesmen have not revealed anything else about Murdock or whatever or not he is to be charged with suspicion of murder.
Currently, Jack is in police custody and is held without bail at this time.
Further details will follow.
