The sound of bell cut through the dull roar of human chatter reaching Raphael's ears, two cheerful "ting" signalling food's ready, "Yes, coming!" the young man called back as an answer, quickly finishing up his task on hand - wiping up the table and took the dishes away with him as he goes.
Daddy Kim left food nicely packed on the counter, delivery, they get plenty of them these days. Raphael dumped the pile of plates and pots alike into the sink, he quickly scrubbed his hands with soap too. "Where to?" Casually, the Asian asked his father, who tiled his head on the white board where an address was stuck on. Raphael dried his hands on the apron before taking it off. He left
the paper at on the counter once committed it to his memory, and left with food in his hands.
The evening air was tinted golden by the setting sunlight, it smelt crisp and cold, a sign of the fast approaching winter, This winter is going to be cold, he wasn't sure why he think that, but he felt it somewhat, when the chilly night air bites into his exposed skin, it has a hint of menace to it. He put on his leather gloves and secured his helmet then off roaring away into the evening.
Navigating down the New York streets in the evening is never easy, lucky him Raphael has the roads memorized, he turned into a few which traffic isn't too bad in compare to the other, skillfully twisting his bikes in between vehicles when he came into the busy part of the town.
He made it good time, spotting the road sign and swerved his bike into this relatively quiet neighbourhood he never been to before. His dark irises darted from side to side attempting to look for the number plate - not that he isn't curious about this place. And finally, Raphael found the address he was looking for.
His dark eyes glanced up at the house impressed, he always wished he could live in a house like this. Wish, not that he isn't happy with the life he has now, the warm little apartment the family shares, though they don't always get along, things wasn't too bad. Family should stick together right?
The young man turned off the engine and pocketed his key before dismounting his bike, light wind blew past had him shifted a shiver. After what seems like ten seconds, he reached out a hand to press a button which looks like the door bell, there wasn't a sound to be heard but the distance traffic and birds chirping and singing somewhere among the trees.
Raphael bit his lips, adjusted the weight in his hands. He tiptoed so to see above the gate, looking for sign of someone coming out; it wasn't the first time he makes a wasted trip so he has his rights to be suspicious. An audible sigh of relieve escape him when there finally came someone out the door.
