Personality-Above all, Andrew likes to have fun. He is “the life of the party,” and loves to make friends. He has an accessible personality, and has a huge amount of stories to tell. At the same time, he can listen as much as he can talk, which makes him an excellent counselor at and outside of work. While he is not the greatest intellectual, he does know a bit about many subjects.
The problem with this is that he has to be around people. He not only loathes being alone, he simply cannot handle it. It drives him crazy. He has to have something to do. This has gotten him in trouble many times, especially regarding his ability. He cannot sit still, and with a great deal of time and space open to him, there is plenty of trouble to be had.
He also has trouble with commitments. This extends not only to romantic relationships, but to friendships and even relations with coworkers. He does not always keep engagements and sometimes does not even bother to notify his friends that he will not be joining them. He even skips out on work sometimes simply because he does not feel like being there.
Abilities/Powers/Skills-Chronolock: This ability allows Andrew to exist outside of space and time. This lets him teleport, in a way - not in the same manner that actual teleporters do, but by phasing through space, or a sort of void - this can take from a few seconds to about a minute, depending on the distance. He can also access different periods of time. (For example, a trip from Manhattan to Queens might take two seconds, while one from Manhattan to Japan would be closer to a minute.) One would think he could phase to the beginning or end of time, but the entire ability is quite taxing and in reality he could only make it a couple of millennia or so in either direction before falling into a comatose state and/or dying.
Andrew can tell when someone around him is attempting to manipulate time or space, and is immune to the effects of both. While Andrew cannot change space at all, he does have the ability to change “fluid” points of time - that is, points that would not cause a massive ripple effect if changed. As he himself would tell you, time is not linear, and anyone attempting to change it has to be aware of all the other points that change would touch.
Limits-The ability is extremely limited, for what it is. While he can change those fluid points in time, he cannot change “fixed” points - in general, ones that would change the world far too much. For example, he could not go back in time and kill Hitler, or stop the Titanic from sinking. One might also think that time travelling would make Andrew immortal, but the effect is actually somewhat the opposite - every time he uses the ability, he expends more energy than he should, which makes him age faster. He counters this by consuming roughly the same amount of energy - not only through eating, but through absorbing energy from other objects that give it off. This is a passive facet of the ability and Andrew cannot use it to drain anyone of their energy, or even give energy.
As mentioned, he cannot manipulate space - not just “space” as a cosmic subject, but any sort of reality around him. He also cannot control time. He can change certain things, but he cannot stop, slow down, or speed up time.
Appearance-At five foot eleven, Andrew is fairly tall. He keeps his brown hair cut short and combed back, exposing a somewhat rounded face. His green eyes are the most striking feature of his face; aside from those, he has a straight nose and somewhat full lips. His skin is fairly tanned. As for facial hair, sometimes he is clean-shaven, sometimes not, although he never makes an effort to grow a full goatee.
He is slender, but has a well-toned physique. Most often, his casual wear consists of light button-ups in plain colors, with jeans and work shoes. His professional attire consists of a dress shirt and slacks, and dress shoes; and occasionally, a tie. He does have a sense of color unique for men and is well kept-together for a bachelor.

History-
While Andrew was born in America, he was part of his family’s first generation to do so. Both of his parents were Irish, although they met later, as coworkers at NASA. His family was fairly well off, as the Reynolds made a fair amount of money at their work, and Andrew had a comfortable childhood. He was not the top of the class in school, but he did well enough to get by.
One day, as a senior in high school, Andrew was falling asleep in his economics class when he suddenly had a sense of stepping out of himself. He looked up and realized that he was still moving, but that the rest of the room was frozen in a moment in time. He stood up, confused, and took a few steps forward. Suddenly, time snapped back into motion, and the end-of-class bell rang. Andrew had just jumped forward in time.
Concentrating, Andrew thought about the end of the day. Then he felt that sensation again, of floating through space, and found himself sitting in his car at three-thirty in the afternoon, ready to drive home. He had just discovered that he could teleport through time and space.
The other facets of his ability he discovered as he grew older. He kind of wished he could control time, but his ability was awesome enough as it was. He learned then that his parents both had abilities, and ones that made a kind of combination of his. They helped him hone that ability until he was almost an expert at it. They warned him, however, not to abuse the ability, as it might have negative consequences - such as aging him faster.
He abused his ability anyway. It actually gave him a way to focus, a sort of escape from the usual tedium of his life. He did better in college than in high school and graduated with a degree in psychology, which did disappoint his parents a bit as they had wanted him to go into engineering. Still, they were proud of him, and they put him through university to obtain his master’s degree. Then, ready to become a professional counselor, he gained his licensure in Florida and joined a practice.
When the Jung Facility gained attention, however, Andrew decided that he wanted to help his fellow Specials more, and landed a job at Jung. He is fairly well-known in the psychology field as a counselor there, given his talent at his young age.
Anything else?- Andrew is fluent in Gaelic and uses it as a second language.

26 February 1720With practiced deftness, Andrew leaped over a fence and resumed his flat-out run across the field. Shots went off, and Andrew ducked, and weaved to the side, the bullets missing him purely out of luck. The shooting stopped, and the pounding of feet behind Andrew resumed. They were distant but closing.
Suddenly, Andrew slipped and fell into a puddle of mud. Scrambling back to his feet, he looked over his shoulder, and saw the pirates shouting and brandishing their reloaded pistols. If he could just reach the pier….
Before he knew it, Andrew’s feet were hitting wooden planks, and he was running up a gangplank onto a fair-sized ship. He looked from left to right in a sort of hazed stupor, looking for the captain’s cabin. There was a door that looked promising. He went for it. Inside - he did not know whether he had the right room or what, but it worked - he found a desk with a box on it. He lifted the lid and found exactly what he was looking for.
A golden compass lay in a velvet cushion, shining, a bit worn from use but otherwise brilliant in its beauty. Andrew slapped the lid down and tucked the box into his pocket, then left a similar-looking box in the same place on the desk. The nearing voices and footsteps made him reconsider, though, and he took both boxes with him as he left the cabin.
The moment he stepped out onto the deck, he found himself at gunpoint. The pirates had caught up with him and were ready to defend their ship. “Hey, hey, hey,” Andrew said, holding up his hands. “I’m totally not meaning to cause trouble here. Look, I’ll give it back, okay? Then we’ll pretend like I never tried to take it, and we’ll all be cool, right?”
The pirates looked confused and irritated at his use of language, but the captain came forward and stretched out his hand. “Aye, we’ll consider it even.”
The way the captain grinned at his crew warned Andrew that he was in trouble.
“Okay. Here goes,” Andrew said, and tossed the box to the captain, who caught it and waved at the others. They leveled their guns at Andrew and squeezed the triggers.
Alarmed, Andrew quickly phased himself out of 1720 and into 2015, leaving the sound of volleyed bullets behind. He found himself in the main hallway of the Jung Facility, where one of the nurses was strolling from the cafeteria.
Andrew grinned. “Niecy! Just the woman I wanted to see.”
Denise looked at him curiously. “Why are you covered in mud?”
“Look, I got this for you.” Andrew showed her the box, then handed it to her. She opened it and beheld the beautiful golden compass.
“It’s wonderful,” she breathed. "Where did you get this?”
“Oh, it’s an old family heirloom,” Andrew said breezily. “Thought you might like it.”
She shook her head, although she was smiling. “I can’t take this.”
“Sure you can. I want you to have it. Besides, it’s better with you than gathering dust in my old man’s attic, right?” Andrew tilted his head.
“True,” Denise said hesitantly. “Are you sure?”
“Totally sure,” Andrew assured her with a grin. “It’s really nothing at all. Just a little thing I found. Wasn’t any trouble or anything.”
